The research object of this article is Heise’s critical theory of eco-cosmopolitanism.The article starts with a systematic analysis of the critical theory of eco-cosmopolitanism,theoretical discourse, text interpretation features, and finally summarizes the criticism Theoretical value, realistic significance and its limitations. This paper consists of three parts introduction, body(four chapters),conclusion. The introduction is divided into two parts. The first part is the origin of the research on the critical theory of ecological cosmopolitanism, which analyzes its background from both theoretical and practical aspects and points out the feasibility and importance of the research. The second part summarizes the research situation of domestic and foreign researchers on Heise’s ecological cosmopolitanism. The first chapter,"The Formation of Heise’s Ecological Cosmopolitanism Criticism Theory",mainly analyzes the formation factors of Heise’s ecological cosmopolitanism criticism from three aspects: realistic motivation, theoretical background and literary text basis.Global ecological disaster and the neglect of global problems by the American environmentalist movement are the realistic causes of this theoretical criticism. The limitation of place theory in the face of globalization promotes the development of ecocriticism. The theoretical turn of ecocriticism to "world" and the self-improvement of ecocriticism theorists are the direct theoretical environment for the development of ecocriticism. The ecocosmopolitanism criticism is based on the experimental literature such as climate change literature, epidemic literature and science fiction. The second chapter "Heise’s critical theoretical discourse of eco-cosmopolitanism" includes three aspects.First,Heise’s eco-cosmopolitanism criticism draws on the concepts of "deterritorialization" in postmodern theory, aiming to emphasize the disconnect between social and cultural practice and the "place" where people live,as well as the deconstruction of the boundary of traditional social space.Second,Heise’s criticism of eco-cosmopolitanism focuses on the discourse of risk theory that intends to construct global relevance, absorbs Beck’s "risk society" theory, and attaches great importance to the change of cross-regional risk situation, global risk awareness and technological risk to the existing social hierarchy structure.Third, dematerialization and global risk perception advocated by ecopolitanism criticism all regard the world as a network of relevance, and pay attention to the integrity and health of ecology and the intrinsic value of nature. At the same time,Heise’s advocacy of "multi-species ethnography" and opposition to the violent tamed of other creatures all reflect the ethical standpoint of ecocentricism. The risk perception theory advocated by Heise’s eco-cosmopolitanism criticism focuses on the fairness of risk taking and discusses the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of non-human species, which is consistent with the view of environmental justice. The third chapter,"the characteristics of interpretation of the critical texts of Heise’s ecocopolitanism",finds and extracts four critical characteristics of ecocopolitanism criticism by analyzing a large number of interpreting practices of ecocopolitanism critical texts.First,in the criticism, the author focuses on personal identity under spatial anxiety, and explores the attempt to reconstruct personal identity in the text, which provides an opportunity for cosmopolitanism imagination.Secondly,it pays attention to the risk situation and risk theme in the work, and breaks through the barriers of traditional text theme and narrative interpretation from the perspective of risk theme.Third,it advocates the narrative reform of the text and attaches importance to the text with collage, montage, allegory and fragmentation as the main means of expression.Fourthly,it attaches importance to the cosmopolitanism metaphor of the text and excavates the way of constructing the cosmopolitanism imagination of the text. The fourth chapter,"An Analysis of the Value of Heise’s Criticism of Ecological Cosmopolitanism",summarizes from two aspects of practical significance and theoretical value. In terms of reality, first of all,the criticism of eco-cosmopolitanism has stimulated the global consciousness of ecological protection and promoted the development of environmental justice.Second, the criticism of eco-cosmopolitanism seeks for the individual identity in the context of globalization, which provides a solution for human to build a spiritual dwelling place, fulfill human’s ecological responsibility and get out of human’s own survival dilemma. In terms of theoretical value, the first step is to reflect and develop the local theory and promote the cosmopolitanism of ecocriticism.Secondly, ecocopolitanism criticism enriches the theory of ecocriticism, increases the critical perspective, and breaks the rigid pastoral tradition and wilderness complex. Finally, the vanguard critical concept of ecocopolitanism criticism and the focus on innovative text greatly promote the expansion of ecocriticism text vision. Its limitations are mainly reflected in the complex global environment, ecological cosmopolitanism criticism has a long way to go in how to better balance cosmopolitanism and local consciousness, and there is still a limit in the scope of criticism text. The conclusion part discusses and summarizes the whole text, and finally calls for further integrating the cosmopolitanism view into the analysis of Chinese texts, and establishing and enriching the critical method with Chinese characteristics and containing the global perspective.
