| In the evolution of Chinese painting and calligraphy art,the idea of “painting with calligraphy” has a long history.The idea of “painting with calligraphy” is an artistic thought summarized by the ancient sages through their own practices in the development of Chinese painting and calligraphy art。However,there are different forms of expression in different historical periods.When it comes to Ming and Qing Dynasties,with the flourishment of the study of steles,painting in the style of jinshi inscriptive calligraphy became the most representative artistic state.During that time,it became a fashion to make pictures as hard and strong as inscriptions by infusing jinshi style into paintings.This painting method greatly contributes to the exploration and innovation of Chinese painting tradition and its spiritual essence,which marks an important milestone in the evolution of Chinese painting art.This paper mainly studies “jinshi into painting” from the following aspects:its emergence,its basic characteristics,its development,and its influence on this author’s creation.This paper is composed of three chapters:The first chapter mainly expounds this method on three aspects for specific analyzation and exploration: the definition of jinshi,the specific evolution of the concept of “jinshi into painting”,and its specific characteristics.The second chapter is an in-depth analysis based on three representative masters of jinshi calligraphy and painting,who are Zhao Zhiqian,Wu Changshuo,and Huang Binhong.This chapter makes comparative analyzations of characteristics of their calligraphy style and painting language of their paintings,so as to explore the development status of the concept of “jinshi into painting” in different historical stages.The third chapter elaborates on the influence of the concept of “jinshi into painting” on this author’s specific practical creation.Through research,this paper holds the view that “jinshi into painting” is a phenomenon that cannot be bypassed in understanding the history of painting in the Qing Dynasty.It was originated from the stele-style calligraphy,whose brushwork,ink technique,and art of composition had an important influence on painting practice and theory at that time.Meanwhile,it played a positive role in promoting the development of painting after the Qing Dynasty. |
