| With the changes in the international political situation and geopolitics,the cultural exchanges between China and Ukraine have undergone many changes.Now there are many Confucius Institutes in Ukraine,many universities have set up Chinese courses.As a result of the cultural variation between China and Ukraine,there are many communication troubles between teachers and students when teaching Chinese to Ukrainian students.To reveal the reasons for the formation of cultural clashes,and propose corresponding solution from the perspectives of different subjects,aiming to help both parties communicate better.This paper consists of five parts:The part one firstly summarizes the research status of intercultural communication in the academic circle,including the definition of culture and cross-cul-tural communication,the study of cross-cultural communication and teaching Chinese as a foreign language,case studies of cross-cultural communication.The second part is the case analysis of cultural conflict.According to the nature and main reasons of the incident itself.the author divides the 22 cases collected into six types.Through the three steps of description,evaluation and reflection,the cases is analyzed,point out people’s thinking styles and language communication styles.Ukrainians’ self-awareness,simple linear thinking style,direct communication style,and the dual personality of Ukrainians who have been in a divided background for a long time are all worthy of attention and research.The part three analysis of the reasons of cultural clashes.Analyzed the cause of communication trouble,from the angle of teachers and students,lack of language knowledge,learning intention,intercultural adaptability,and comprehend of local culture.The part four bring forth a proposal to settle the trouble of intercultural Communication clashes.It mainly provides relevant suggestions for individual volunteer teachers,Confucius Institutes in Ukraine,and Hanban to further enhance the intercultural communication skills of Chinese teachers.At the same time,it actively guides students to establish a multicultural view and changing approaches to learning,improve the abilities of Ukrainian students.Finally,this article uses the teaching experience of volunteer teachers in Ukraine as the first-hand data,lists the cultural clashes that volunteers tend to occur in the course of intercultural communication,analysis the cause behind the clashes and proposes corresponding solutions for the future teachers who go to Ukraine for Chinese teaching provide reference.Meanwhile,in the context of increasingly advocating "national studies",this paper can replenish the intercultural communication cases database,which be used for reference in the teaching of Chinese in Ukraine. |
