A Study On The Mutual Infiltration Of The Literary Form Of Mourning Articles’ Styles

The mourning articles’ styles are closely related to the activities of the ancient funeral ritual system.Its main function is to mourn the death and express mourning emotion to them.It is a special kind of pragmatic article’s style.From the Han,Wei to Six Dynasties,the mourning articles’ styles mainly refer to Lei,Diao,Ji and Aici,Aice,which were derived from Lei.The development and evolution of these styles were interrelated and influenced by themselves,which bringing about a particular phenomenon.The reason why this phenomenon was emerged is that these different styles have the same objects and mutual stylistic functions.Besides,this phenomenon mainly includes two aspects: the mutual infiltration of various mourning styles;the influence of other styles on the mourning articles’ styles.In fact,the mutual infiltration phenomenon among Lei,Aici,Aice,Diao and Ji is involved with many aspects of stylistic elements,which are embodied in the overlapping of the scope of application,the fusion of stylistic functions,and the repetition of institutional features.Among them,the interpenetration of stylistic functions is the key factor that determines the appearance of the interpenetration of various stylistic functions.According to the functional similarities of the mourning articles’ styles and the distance of their relationship,the functional interpenetration content of the various styles can be roughly divided into two major sections: the first one is the interpenetration and fusion of the functions between Lei,Aici,and Aice;the other one is about the permeation and fusion between Diao and Ji.These two parts are linked by the reference and infiltration of Ji and Lei,which constitutes the inter-infiltration trajectory of these five styles of Lei,Aici,Aice,Diao and Ji from the Han,Wei to Six Dynasties.In addition,the trend towards the similar institutional characteristics among them is also an important manifestation of the interpenetration of various styles: In the Han dynasties,Lei borrowed from the lyrical characteristics of Diao’ and Aici’ personalization of expression,and then it transformed its own expression of mourning.This made Lei first ushered in the golden age of development in the Two Jin dynasties,and thus widely influenced the other mourning styles’ characters.According to an overview of the full picture of the interpenetration of mourning styles,and judging from the order and priority of the interpenetration of these styles,Lei and Ji are undoubtedly the protagonists of this interpenetration.They are actively infiltrated outward and absorbed inward respectively.The occurrence of the interpenetration phenomenon between these mourning styles in the Han,Wei,Western and Eastern Jin,and Six Dynasties depends on the literary style’s environment in which they are located.To a certain extent,it has been influenced by other powerful styles,such as Poems,Fus,and Sao.It is also closely related to the evolution of Tombstone writings,Epitaphs,and Xingzhuang.These powerful styles’ influence on the mourning articles’ styles were mainly achieved by the power pressed on Lei.The former type of styles originated earlier,and its functions and linguistic characteristics were borrowed by the mourning articles’ styles,which shaping and affecting the stylistic characteristics of the mourning articles’ styles,and then affecting the interpenetration of styles;the latter type of articles’ styles used to occupy Lei,especially the function of reciting virtues and deeds,which affects the trajectory of the interpenetration of mourning literary articles.
