A Multi-angle Study Of "想不 X 都不行"

"想不X都不行"is one of the very common and frequently used constructions in modern Chinese.Some predecessors of scholars have studied the components of this construction or related constructions.There are relatively few studies on"想不X都不行".This article mainly focuses on"想不X都不行"as the research object.Based on previous studies,it adopts construction grammar theory,anti-expectation theory,etc.,and analyzes the construction from multiple angles of grammar,semantics,and pragmatics.This article is divided into six chapters:The introduction part mainly introduces the research object,research significance,predecessors’ research on construction grammar theory and concession and contraction structure,the research methods used and the source of corpus.The first chapter mainly analyzes the composition of"想不X都不行".This chapter uses the construction grammar theory to appraise the construction of"想不X都不行",briefly explain the realization mechanism of the construction;analyze and discuss the components of the construction,and find that the position of the construction variable"X"can be verbs,adjectives,nouns,phrases and other forms;analysis of the regular items"想","不"and"都"in"想不X都不行".The second chapter focuses on the research on the syntax of"想不X都不行".This chapter analyzes the syntactic function of the structure.The structure can be used as a sentence component in a sentence,and can be used as a sentence clause;it examines its co-occurrence with modal particles.The third chapter is mainly about the semantic analysis of"想不X都不行".This chapter analyzes the semantic characteristics of the variable"X";the construction meaning of the whole construction,and analyzes the semantic characteristics of the whole construction;describes and analyzes the promotion of the double negative structure to the meaning of the construction.The fourth chapter is mainly a pragmatic investigation of"想不X都不行".This chapter describes the usage and applicable context of"想不X都不行".This construction can be used in single and multiple sentences,and it is often accompanied by certain reasons or hypothetical conditions.The pragmatic function of this structure is analyzed.;Analyze and study the pragmatics of the construction from the aspects of emotional color,style color and so on.The fifth chapter mainly examines the comparison of the variants of"想不X都不行"and the reasons for its popularity.This chapter briefly compares"一定X/肯定X","想X都不行","想不X都难"and"想不X也不行",and explore the popular reasons of"想不X都不行".The sixth chapter is the conclusion part.This chapter mainly summarizes the contents of the first five chapters,shows the value of the thesis research,and points out the deficiencies of the thesis and the aspects to be studied.
