Pursuing Happiness In Adversity:A Study On The Power Of Virtue Transcendence

Adversity,virtue and happiness are three familiar concepts in human life.Each concept has different contents and meanings,but connecting them from these things shows different aspects of human beings and society.The adversity of life is something that everyone must experience in their life.Adversity is an essential factor for human development.There are many difficulties and uncertainties in life,which we must face and overcome.Be immersed in yourself and escape or overcome difficulties under the leadership of everyone.Avoiding trouble is not the solution to the problem,but it can also make the problem worse.Boldly look directly at the problem,consider and find the best way.With an optimistic spirit and a tenacious will,nothing can make us feel difficult.There is a saying among the Vietnamese people: Failure is the source of success.Without failure,there will be no success.Every failure is the time to learn the lessons of life.From there,we can have confidence in ourselves,face adversity and overcome adversity,and get happiness.The concept of human happiness has a very important meaning in general spiritual life,especially moral life.It is one of the foundations to help people build ideals,goals and attitudes.It is also the core,measurement and direction for people to establish good,evil,dignity and a series of other human concepts.This research adopts the literature method and empirical method to explore the mechanism and mechanism of how the power of virtue transcends in the process of pursuing happiness in adversity,based on the empirical investigation and analysis of middle school and university students.Take a questionnaire survey to sample Chinese college students(N302 of 280,000 database)and Vietnamese college students(N300)during the severely affected period of the epidemic in 2020,and do SPSS26 on the comprehensive index of adversity,happiness development index,and transcendence index in the database of China and Vietnam.Big data comparative analysis and regression prediction,and discussion and analysis of the significant conclusions drawn,came to the following main innovative conclusions:(1)Adversity is a common phenomenon in the life growth of college students.For example,the global spread of the new crown virus in 2020 has plunged Chinese and Vietnamese college students into adversities such as life and learning,academic growth,and life development such as communication and employment.Among them,girls bear a stronger sense of adversity stress than boys.(2)Transcendence is the self-power necessary for college students to overcome adversity.Chinese and Vietnamese students share "gratefulness",Chinese students also have "forgiveness,selfconfidence" transcending power;Vietnamese students have "empathy,resilience,awe" and my transcending power.Because grateful for the help of relatives and friends,forgiveness is the transcendence of harm,self-confidence is based on self-efficacy,empathy is always a sense of worry,resilience is the resistance to adversity,awe and love for life.(3)Happiness is a beautiful self-experience in the life development of college students.The happiness development advantages of Chinese sample college students are expressed as "life meaning,dedication,and positive emotions";the happiness development advantages of Vietnamese sample college students are expressed as "life meaning,good relationships,and academic achievements",in which the meaning of life is a common happiness experience.(4)Pursuing happiness in adversity stems from different transcending driving forces.13.8% of the Chinese sample college students’ pursuit of happiness in adversity stems from self-transcendence drives such as optimism,emotional intelligence,empathy,resilience.In a sample of Vietnamese college students,49.8% of the pursuit of happiness in adversity comes from self-transcendence drives such as optimism,self-confidence,immersion,empathy,and resilience.Among them,optimism means positive confrontation,empathy means empathy,resilience means resilience,etc.are the common self-transcendence strengths of cross-cultural middle and large students who are pursuing happiness in adversity.(5)Suggestions: There are still some shortcomings in this research,and the content is not enough to be studied.We hope that it will continue to deepen and explore and improve in the future academic research.
