| The Suona is one of China’s long-established national wind instruments. It is a powerfully expressive instrument,it can express different emotions such as sadness, joy and sorrow.Due to regional differences,Suona has its own characteristics in terms of appearance, tone and playing style, and the emotions expressed by Suona also have their own characteristics, depending on the regional environment. Therefore,I have conducted a special study on the Suona Performance Styles in Sichuan Province, taking the social and cultural background of the Sichuan region as a background, and exploring its artistic style and musical characteristics. The classic Sichuan style Suona solo piece "Love of the Chuanjiang" is used as an example, and the music is analyzed in detail to further focus on the Suona performance style in Sichuan province, composition characteristics, etc. The Chuanjiang horn and Sichuan folk song, they are the origins of the Suona song"Love of the Chuanjiang," is a result of Sichuan’s unique geographical climate. As a native of Sichuan, the author of“ Love of the Chuanjiang",Mr.Zhang Fang, has a strong regional identity and folk style, and the piece is widely known for its beautiful melody and deep musical culture. The author came into contact with the song during Suona study and staged it at the graduate report concert. In order to perform the piece perfectly,Not only do you need a solid foundation to conduct the piece ideally, but you should also need technical expertise and the ability to use a musical sentiment. The production of “Love of the Chuanjiang”,a single two-part piece, beautifully demonstrates the Sichuan region’s music genre through the flexible use of air-slide,air-top,and lip-slide techniques.Further examination of the characteristics of the Suona in the Sichuan region reveals its association with Sichuan folk songs and Chuanjiang horn. The performing style of Sichuan Suona and local music culture have a mutual influence and supplement each other. |
