A Preliminary Study On The Teaching Of Dvorak’s Suit "Poetic Tone-Pictures"

As one of the representatives of Czech national music schools in the 19 th century,Antony Leopold Dvorak has dedicated his lifetime to the development of Czech national music.While inheriting the national music of Smetana,he integrates Czech national music with other national music to create a new type of Slavic national music and promote it to the whole world.The piano suite Poetic Tone-pictures has a unique music style,an unsophisticated melody and fresh and clean tone with typical Czech national music characteristics.With studies into the musical form,melody and musical texture of the suite Poetic Tone-pictures,the author concluded the importance of respectively artistic image,creation techniques and themes of works to musical teaching and performance.Besides,performance techniques involved in the works were studied,so as to lay theoretic basis for the teaching and performance of the suite Poetic Tone-pictures.
