| As one of the six major film groups in China,Xi’an Film Studio is not only the cradle of films in Shaanxi Province and even the western region,but also an important base of Chinese film creation.In the eighties and nineties of the last century,Xi’an Film Studio created a number of excellent films loved by audiences at home and abroad.The film works frequently won awards in the international film world,making great contributions to the development of Chinese films in the world.Many classic female images are created in the works of Xi’an Film Studio.These female images closely echo the historical and cultural process of the development of contemporary Chinese society,and are an important basis to reflect women’s social status and the development of feminism.They not only have gender meaning,but also have very rich social and cultural connotations.This paper takes the female images in the film works since the founding of Xi’an Film Studio as the analysis object,from the feminist perspective,combined with sociological research methods,observes the female images in the film works of Xi’an Film Studio in different times,divides them into three stages with the times as the meridian,and discusses the characteristics of the female images in each stage as the latitude,This paper analyzes the social and cultural context of the development of women’s image,and explores the evolution of women’s image and the existence and awakening of women’s consciousness reflected in the Xi’an Film Studio’s films.Over the past60 years,the colorful female images of Xi’an Film Studio have gone through the process of simplification,typification and increasing diversification: the "heroine" in the labor in the1950 s and 1960 s.During the "Cultural Revolution" period,women was a revolutionary follower who was patriotic and dedicated to the party;Women who gradually "find themselves" in the 1970 s and 1980s;In the 1980 s and 1990 s,women who were enterprising,changing and daring to fight;Since the new century,the new women who are independent and realize the transformation from "saved" to "saved".Through the analysis of the shaping and evolution process of female images in "western movies",this paper attempts to explore the process of female consciousness from retreating to sprouting,and then to gradually awakening and publicity.The display of women’s fate and the change of women’s image identity in the Xi’an Film Studio’s films also reflect the actual living conditions of Chinese women,the arduous nature of seeking independent survival and the process of women’s growth and change,which has become a window to help us understand social changes.The study of this evolution will help us to have a deeper understanding of the cultural connotation of Xi’an Film Studio’s films in different periods,and has a certain reference value for the appreciation of female images in future films. |
