Furthermore, you can see how the female directors balance the relationship between their individual artistic pursuit, the audience preferences and the market film production. Ultimately, the female directors’ films can provide some reference for the future of Chinese film creation.Although Xu Jinglei’s films exist great differences in the image style, artistic features, aesthetic pursuit and other aspects, but the focus of female subject and woman’s unique life experiences are the most obvious characteristics throughout the works, showing her strong female consciousness. The thesis research on Xu Jinglei’s five films and clarify them from the viewpoints of film studies, sociology and feminist theories.By closely relating to the female consciousness, expanding from narrative strategy and female consciousness these two aspects, this thesis try to analysis of the specific features and expressions of female consciousness of Xu Jinglei’s films in-depth. Finally, we give our objective evaluation about the problems and shortcomings of Xu Jinglei’s films in values and spiritual dimensions.
