A Study On Prose Criticism Of Yusi School

With the emergence of modern newspapers and periodicals,modern intellectuals in the New Culture Movement gained the corresponding discourse power by establishing newspapers and periodicals one after another.Yusi school is a famous association school based on Yusi Weekly in the history of modern Chinese literature for its "prose".Whether in the past or today,Yusi School has made great contributions to prose creation and prose criticism.Taking "Yusi style prose criticism" as the research object,this paper will study and summarize the prose criticism of Yusi style by combining literature combing and theoretical analysis.The aim is to clarify the development process of Yusi prose criticism and reveal its rich connotation and value.This paper will discuss this issue in four chapters:The first chapter focuses on the theoretical basis of Yusi prose criticism.Under the joint influence of Chinese traditional literary theory and western literary theory,the theoretical basis of Yusi prose criticism has been gradually formed.The concept of new literary criticism is the refinement of the concept of "literature" under the background of the birth of new literature.The concept of "pure literature" prepared for the breakthrough of the concept of "prose" criticism,thus promoting Yusi’s attention to the basic theoretical problem of the concept of modern prose,which together constituted the theoretical basis of Yusi’s prose criticism.The second chapter is a summary of the basic content of Yusi prose criticism.The basic content of Yusi prose criticism is to put forward norms and requirements for all aspects of prose on the theoretical basis of studying the essence and rules of prose.It mainly includes the subject matter,style and style of the construction of prose.The style of Yusi prose is composed of miscellaneous feelings and beautiful prose.The subject matter of miscellaneous feelings focuses on the expression of criticism,while the subject matter of beautiful prose focuses on the display of aesthetics.In terms of style,miscellaneous feelings and beautiful articles both pursue individuality and freedom,while miscellaneous articles are more passionate and ironic,while beautiful articles are full of beauty and poetry.These contents are not only the criticism standard of Yusi school on prose,but also the guiding concept of Yusi school on prose creation.The third chapter discusses the development and differentiation of Yusi prose criticism.The development of Yusi prose criticism is rapid and complex.Although the discussion of"the style of yusi" indicates that the criticism of yusi’s prose moves towards self-consciousness,each of them has his own emphasis on the prose and fails to form an authoritative and dominant criticism theory.This paper summarizes the situation of "school among schools" into sociological prose criticism and discourse prose criticism,and thus begins to study the "essay debate" between them.The fourth chapter is the basic evaluation of Yusi prose criticism.Starting from the two opposite dimensions of value and limitation,firstly,it reveals the dual value of Yusi prose criticism in both theory and creation.Secondly,it expounds the limitations of Yusi prose criticism.Finally,it points out the enlightenment significance of Yusi prose criticism to the contemporary prose theory criticism.Through the research of the above four chapters,the basic content of Yusi prose criticism can be summarized,the development path of Yusi prose criticism can be sorted out,the experience of Yusi prose criticism can be summarized,and the influence of Yusi prose criticism on the theoretical construction of contemporary prose criticism can be reflected.In a word,this paper is relatively new in the selection of research perspectives.At present,most of the studies on the theory of prose criticism are from the perspective of literary history,or from the perspective of writers’ works.Based on the literary schools,this paper focuses on the achievements of "Yusi School" in prose criticism,so as to bring some thoughts to the study of modern and contemporary prose criticism.Regrettably,modern and contemporary prose criticism always presents the characteristics of diversity and imbalance.It is difficult for the author to break through the limitation of the research object,so he can only organize and report on the basis of previous studies,in an attempt to get some inspiration on the research of prose criticism.
