| The World Press Photo Competition(wpp),hereinafter referred to as Holland,is organized by the "World Press Photo Foundation".It has a history of 64 years since its inception in 1957.It is one of the highest photography awards in the world.This article takes the winning works of the "Work of the Year","Breaking News" and "General News" of the Holland Prize 2009-2019 as the research object,using case analysis and content analysis to compare the winning works of the Holland Prize news category Perform analysis.This article is divided into four parts.It provides an overall overview of the main types of the Dutch prize winning works.Through the analysis of the theme selection and technical presentation of the Dutch prize winning works,such as general news,breaking news,etc.the Dutch prize is explored.The value of care and artistic performance.There were 754 Dutch prize-winning works in the past ten years.The Dutch prize-winning works came from newspapers,organizations,and freelance photographers.In the area concerned,the subject selection focuses on "military","natural disaster" and "terrorism".The three categories of "attacks" and more are concerned with countries prone to natural disasters and war.Photographers’ records of wars,terrorist attacks and natural disasters can use the language of images to accurately explain the visual conflicts between themes and images.Hesai’s award-winning news works in the past ten years use head-up and frontal shooting angles to express the subject of news events,and use the subject’s attitude to directly hit the news subject,so as to find the strongest and most direct response to the disaster and the plight of the people involved.Gaze;use close-up shots to show the dynamic and behavioral characteristics of the main character,and show as many details of the disaster theme and scene as possible;in terms of color,soft and deep tones are usually used to express the frustration and tension of the disaster atmosphere.At the same time,the emotional expression of color photography is mostly used in the selection and use of colors,but black and white tones are also used to contrast emotions;in terms of photography technology,most award-winning works use snap shots.By capturing the representative moments,the most dramatic and conflicting scenes are constructed in the images to enrich the language of the images.Based on all these reflected media values,the winning works in the news category of the Holland Prize contain a strong humanistic spirit and the keen and firm professionalism of a photojournalist.Disaster news photography works give viewers a strong visual impact through professional photography techniques such as color application,image composition,and shooting techniques.Photographers shoot news pictures to strive for the authenticity,instantaneity and vividness of the news.They use large-scene narrative,fragmented narrative and multi-angle presentation of disaster scenes to demonstrate humanistic care,and provide a rich and authoritative reference benchmark for news photography in academia and industry. |
