On Li Ruihuan’s Thoughts And Practice Of Peking Opera

In the 1980s,under the care and support of the Party and the government,as well as the active efforts of the vast number of Peking Opera workers,the art of Peking Opera recovered and emerged with new vitality,and made gratifying achievements in both creation and performance.However,in this process,it also encountered many difficulties.The situation of "three discontinuities" of its actors,plays and audiences,coupled with the gradual enrichment of artistic varieties and styles,Beijing Opera was faced with huge challenges.With a sense of responsibility for the national culture,Li Ruihuan has a great vision,foresight,and practicality.He has published a series of important treatises on the revitalization of Peking Opera,clarified the confused thoughts,and put forward scientific guiding ideas and policies.In strongly advocated to carry forward national excellent culture and emphasizes the significance of the revitalization of the Peking Opera at the same time,interests repeatedly stressed:"the key to the revitalization of Beijing Opera,or what is the most urgent problem,this is a very important but now controversial problem,in my opinion,the current revitalization of the Peking Opera is the key to do well the inheritance,that is,to inherit after development,the development based on the inheritance of the solid." This is the general consensus reached by people after years of exploration and practice,which has far-reaching influence in the Beijing Opera circle.This paper mainly deals with Li Ruihuan’s Peking Opera thoughts,play adaptation and practice.In the introduction part,the author first explains the proposition of the thesis,then introduces the research object,describes the current research status of this thesis in China,and summarizes the existing literature.Secondly,it points out the main problems solved in this study and the research approaches and methods.The expected goal of this paper is to further grasp Li Ruihuan’s influence and significance on the development of Chinese Peking Opera through the study of Li Ruihuan’s Peking Opera thoughts and practice.The first chapter,Inheriting the debate:Inheritance and development of Peking Opera,mainly discusses the influence of Marx,Engels,Mao Zedong,Deng Xiaoping and other literary thoughts on Li Ruihuan’s thoughts on Peking Opera,and forms his own thoughts on Peking Opera.The chapter is divided into four sections.The first section elaborates the ideological and theoretical basis of Li Ruihuan’s revitalization of Peking Opera,which is influenced by Marx,Engels,Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping.The second section studies Li Ruihuan’s high recognition of Beijing Opera,and advocates that we should carry forward the excellent culture of the Chinese nation.In the process of revitalizing Beijing Opera,we must first inherit and then develop,and build the development on the basis of inheritance.The third section summarizes and comments on Li Ruihuan’s inseparable relationship between Peking Opera and The Times and the masses.The fourth section introduces a series of important treatises on the performance level of Peking Opera by Li Ruihuan.The second chapter,Between low:The vitality of adaptations,makes a detailed textual analysis of the five works adapted by Li Ruihuan in order to have a more comprehensive understanding of the concrete embodiment of Li Ruihuan’s thoughts in the script.The chapter is divided into four sections.The first section elaborates the exploration of the theme of the original work in the adapted version.The second section studies the way Li Ruihuan handles the plot and the script becomes more coherent and smooth after the treatment.The third section explores the vivid characters created by Li Ruihuan;The fourth section elaborates the popular language of the adapted script.The third chapter,,The revitalization of the solution:The dissemination and system construction of Peking Opera,mainly discusses Li Ruihuan’s unique contribution in the aspect of drama practice.The first section is about the construction of Tianjin Youth Peking Opera Troupe,which explains Li Ruihuan’s contribution to Tianjin Youth Peking Opera Troupe with the most successful"Hundred Days Intensive Training" as the breakthrough point.The second section is the Beijing Opera Audio and Video Project,which elaborates its great promoting role in publicizing,popularizing and promoting Beijing Opera.The third section is about the reform of the academy system,which protects and mobilizes the enthusiasm of the actors and actresses and activates the artistic productivity.The conclusion part summarizes the whole text,which affirmation Li Ruihuan’s contribution to the development of Peking Opera.Through the study and reflection on li ruihuan,it provides a reference and guidepamp for the development of Beijing opera at present,and points out that the revitalization of Beijing opera should be a process of inheriting tradition,opening to others and revising.
