Research On The Imperial Examination And Jili Zhuangyuan Drama In Ming Dynasty

The zhuangyuan drama is an important subject in the history of Chinese ancient opera,which is numerous and concerned by academic circles.And different times have different zhuangyuan drama.Under the influence of imperial examination culture,marriage custom,education system and so on,a special type of opera appeared in Ming Dynasty.The hero of this kind of drama takes the zhuangyuan as the goal of life,and is often encouraged by others to take part in the imperial examination,with zhongzhuangyuan,jinbiao and wedding as the knot.The analysis of the imperial examination and the “jili zhuangyuan drama” is helpful for us to grasp the influence of the imperial examination on the development of the opera,especially on the zhuangyuan drama,and it is of great significance for us to understand the plot structure and ideological implication of the Chinese classical opera.This article is divided into five chapters.The first part,it is proposed to make an overall investigation of the Ming Dynasty’s zhuangyuan drama,and comb the repertoire of“jili zhuangyuan drama”.The second part,analyzes and discusses the reasons for the prosperity of the opera,and focuses on the important influence of imperial examination and educational system on its prosperity.The third part,analysis of the patterns and causes of the plot segment of the opera,and makes comparison with the the drama in Song and Yuan Dynasty.The fourth part,selects three representative works,"sanyuanji ","qingpaoji" and "xiuruji" for case study.The fifth part,summarize the characteristics of the times and the cultural value of the jili zhuangyuan drama.There are three main innovations in this paper.The first,this kind of drama contains incentive plot and incentive thought.In the feudal society with great influence and prosperity of imperial examinations,there is no doubt that it is a important cultural value and distinctive characteristics of the times.The second,jili zhuangyuan drama has a unique plot pattern.The third,the emphasis on writing and the embodiment of the glory of the zhuangyuan are important contents in the development of zhuangyuan opera from Song Dynasty to Qing Dynasty.It has certain innovation significance to study it.Finally,the deficiency of this paper is that due to the limited learning and maintenance,the types of the Ming Dynasty’s zhuangyuan drama can not be carefully divided.And the analysis of the jili zhuangyuan drama was mainly focused on the Ming Dynasty,it failed to elaborate on the influence and development of its later generations.
