China and South Korea are close geographically and belong to the "Confucian cultural circle".The cultural backgrounds of the two countries have many similarities, but there are also certain differences. The Confucius Institute at Seoul National University in South Korea is the world’s first Confucius Institute. As the first country to establish a Confucius Institute,it has great advantages in cultural communication.but after these years of development, statistics are based on the "Global Advanced Confucius Institute",South Korea has only four schools selected, they are Suncheon Hyang University(2009,2013).Keimyung University(2011),Taesung High School(2011),Jeju Halla University(2015),2015 After that,no Confucius Institute in South Korea was rated as an advanced Confucius Institute. In the process of contact with Korean students,I learned that they are more inclined to participate in the cultural activities of the Confucius Institute than to study Chinese in the Confucius Institute. These cultural activities have increasingly become an important way for them to get to know China and experience the real China. How to better spread Chinese culture overseas is a very important part of the development of Confucius Institutes in Korea.Through the report of Korean cultural activities on the official website of the Chinese-foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center, this article analyzes the themes and types of Korean cultural activities.According to analysis, among the cultural themes, the frequency of occurrence of cultural activity themes at various levels is from high to low, material cultural themes, behavioral cultural themes, and spiritual cultural themes.Among the cultural types, there are mainly 10 types of cultural experience, competitions, lectures, theatrical performances,seminars/conferences,exhibitions,exchanges,forums,festivals,and salons.Among them.the top four cultural types are;cultural experience, competition,Lectures, theatrical performances. After that, using the theory of symbolic interaction, various aspects of the cultural activities of the Korean Confucius Institute were analyzed. As a "cultural symbol" as a communication medium,it needs to combine its linguistic and non-verbal factors so that the meaning and form of the symbol can be displayed in cultural activities,so that the true value of the symbol can be exerted;the audience needs to have the "sharing ability",possess a "personal interactive position" with a mixture of needs, desires and expectations;the communicator needs to have the "ability to use symbolic behavior" in the interaction, and this interactive ability depends on the communicator’s own understanding and perception of cultural symbols in the specific content Power, and the narrative method in the output path;based on the above premise, both parties can produce "empathy" in the communication process. This article uses the form of questionnaire to investigate and analyze the interactive parties in cultural activities, including cultural learning motivation, interest in Chinese culture, satisfaction with Confucius Institute cultural activities, etc.,and supplement the questionnaire through interviews. Finally,I summarized the problems in the theme and communication methods of Korean cultural activities, mainly because the content of the communication is out of touch with the needs of the audience, and the lack of system, continuity, fragmentation, lack of brand awareness, and lack of local formation have a large Influential brand cultural activities;single propaganda media, insufficient technical support, failed to transform cultural resources into cultural capital;and in the epidemic era, there was no timely innovation of cultural activities. In response to the above problems, the Confucius Institute should reasonably arrange the theme and type of activities according to the needs of the audience, and combine the three cultural levels, explore the spiritual connotation, enhance the system and continuity of cultural themes, and form brand activities;give full play to social media Interaction, increase the communication function of traditional media, and effectively combine the online and offline modes;at the same time, focus on transforming cultural resources into cultural industries, forming a virtuous circle of internal funds, and actively seeking cooperation from various institutions. |
