Research On The Graphic Design Of 24 Solar Terms

Folk culture is an important part of Chinese traditional culture.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the Party and the state have strengthened the inheritance and development of traditional culture and brought it into the 13 th Five-Year Plan.Twenty-four solar terms were formed by the working people in ancient China through continuous accumulation and exploration.They are an important part of our traditional culture and an indispensable treasure,and have been included in the UN’s list of non-legacy items."Twenty-four solar terms" is a calendar produced by Chinese farming society,a set of time system formed after sorting out,summarizing and perfecting natural ecological laws,which is the crystallization of ancient Chinese civilization wisdom.In fact,with the development of modern society,the structure of the labor force has changed,and the modern urban life and working style have made the culture of "Twenty-four solar terms" gradually fade in people’s vision.However,the traditional ideas and ideological connotations contained in its culture are still of value to agricultural production today,and still play a guiding role in today’s life aesthetics,values and lifestyles.In order to carry forward Chinese traditional culture and enhance national self-confidence,this topic takes the culture of "Twenty-four solar terms" as the breakthrough point,and explores the transformation of traditional folk patterns in the context of modern society.Taking Yuan Zhen’s Poem of Singing Twenty-four Solar Terms in Tang Dynasty as an example,the topic extracts the text information related to solar terms in the poem.The purpose of this topic is to turn "solar terms culture" into visual language symbols,and present graphic design works which not only contain the connotation of Chinese traditional folk culture,but also reflect the strong characteristics of the times and modern aesthetics from the perspective of visual communication.In addition,this paper will explore that the application of graphic design in cultural and creative products will make Chinese traditional folk culture present in modern life in a brand-new style,so that young people can directly feel the charm and temperature of Chinese traditional folk culture,and gain cultural recognition and confidence.
