| As for the teaching of English in the senior high school,the Ministry of Education of China advocates in the English Curriculum Standards for Ordinary Senior High School(2017 edition)that the reform of teaching mode and learning mode under the background of modern educational technology should be attached importance to promote the deep integration of educational technology and teaching continually.Classroom interaction based on educational technology is one of the important means of learning activities.Based on the previous researches,this study carries out classroom observation and questionnaires to study 3 English classes from a senior high school in Guangxi under the educational technology environment.This thesis attempts to answer the following questions through investigation:(1)what are the situations of teacher-student,student-student and human-technology interactions in the high school English classes assisted by educational technology?(2)as feedback and measurement of the classroom interaction,how well do students engage in the classroom interaction with educational technology?Through the research,the following conclusions are drawn.Firstly,in terms of the classroom interaction structure,the teacher talk is higher than that of the students.But all these classes are still student-centered;there is useful silence in classes;and educational technology is employed with a small frequency comparatively.Among the three kinds of classroom interaction,teacher-student interaction is good on the whole.But the assistance of educational technology does not change the traditional mode of training-typed interaction,and the teaching style tends to be direct.The classroominteraction supported by educational technology still focuses on the conventional activities of teachers’ lecturing,students’ passive responses and silence.The positive affective atmosphere of teacher-student interaction needs to be strengthened.There is a lack of interaction between students and students.Teachers fail to make use of educational technology to assist student-student classroom interaction in daily English class.There is still much room to improve with the interaction between humans and technology.Also,the types of technologies and technical operators need to be changed.Secondly,when students interact in the classroom with educational technology,their engagement in the three dimensions of behavior,cognition and emotion is relatively high.And many students can engage in classroom interaction with a high level of focus and cognition to get certain learning satisfaction in English class.But students feel anxious or bored when the teachers do not use educational technology well.This investigation puts forward some suggestions for the shortcomings in the classroom interaction with educational technology.In the interaction between teachers and students,teachers can innovate the teaching process in the classroom through various educational technology means.Student-student interaction can be increased in class.Teachers can design more cooperative activities for students by using educational technology.More technical means can be adopted in the interaction between human and technology so that students can also interact with it in class. |
