Study On The Image Of Literati In Four Dreams Of Linchuan

As a famous playwright in Ming Dynasty,Tang Xianzu,known as "Oriental Shakespeare",is respected by the world.It is reported that Tang Xianzu was born in a family of poetic rites.His grandfather,Mao Zhao,had a literary name and believed in Lao Tzu’s theory.His father,Shang Xian,preferred Confucianism.He also set up a family school and a book Hall of Tang’s family.He also kept many books at home and respected talented people very much.The culture inside the family created a good environment for Tang Xianzu to study.In the Ming Dynasty,when Cheng Zhu Neo Confucianism advocated the idea of "keeping the natural principle and destroying the human desire",the social environment had a very serious suppression on human nature.In this context,Tang Xianzu held up the banner of "fighting against the natural principle by feeling",created a large number of excellent works,expressed a lot of passion songs praising freedom,opposed the feudal ethics,the pursuit of happy love and the spirit of personality liberation.In his works,there are many images of scholars in Tang Xianzu’s works.Their artistic features are distinct,their forms are various and rich in connotation.However,they haven’t got the Chinese style of researchers for a long time.Up to now,there is still no relatively complete research result.Through extensive data collection,this paper will take the social and political life of the Ming Dynasty as the background,make a comprehensive interpretation of the image of scholars,on this basis,make an in-depth and comprehensive analysis,so that scholars can have a more comprehensive understanding and experience of their artistic charm and thoughts when reading papers.In this paper,the author chooses the most classic "Peony Pavilion","zichai","Handan" and "Nanke" as the main objects of analysis,and makes a simple division of the literati in these four classic masterpieces.The research objects are divided into young literati Liu Mengmei and Li Yi who pursue career advancement,literati Du Bao and Lu Taiwei who are high-ranking,and their similarities and differences are compared and analyzed.At the same time,the character of Chen Zuoliang is simply analyzed.At the end of the article,the author’s intention and significance to the later generations are discussed.
