The Characterization Of Shi Nian In The Originaldance Drama Gui Gen

The characterization plays an indispensable role in the category of dance drama performance.Based on the perspective of dance performance,taking the characterization of Shi Nian in the Act II Po(Breaking)of the original dance drama,Gui Gen(Homecoming),as a point,combining with the practical experience of dance works and performances of the author,adopting the drama theory of “mental imagery” of Juyin Jiao,this paper discusses the theory and practice of characterization in dance performance.According to the relevant theory of Outside-in and Inside-out,it guides the concrete performance practice,so as to further analyze the effective mode and method of characterization in dance performance from the outside to the inside,and explore how to approach from physical imagery to mental imagery and to physical imagery,and finally accomplish the transformation from the actor to the role.
