With the material culture being increasingly satisfied today,more and more people begin to pursue spiritual enjoyment,which is also an emotional need.As a space carrier of spiritual culture,museum has become an important place for people’s spiritual needs.However,the traditional functional and technological museum display space cannot meet the emotional requirements of to day’s visitors,which urges the museum display space to focus on participation experience and emotional exchange.Based on the insufficient development and current situation of museum exhibition space and the public’s demand for emotional space,this paper,based on the theoretical research of emotional experience design,analyzes the methods of applying relevant theories of emotional experience to museum exhibition space,so as to bring spiritual emotion to visitors to meet their practical needs.Museum exhibition space with emotional experience as the carrier to convey cultural knowledge to the public can better promote the popularization and publicity of excellent historical culture and scientific knowledge.To explore the theoretical system of museum display space design for emotional experience,and to provide reference ideas and methods for museum display space design.Firstly,this paper takes the theory of emotional experience design as the entry point of research,and then analyzes the feasibility of its application in museum exhibition space.By referring to domestic and foreign literature and analyzing the research status of emotional experience design theory and museum exhibition space,we conclude that the current research on emotional experience design theory lacks systematic sorting and method summary in museums.According to the current situation,the specific research content and methods are sorted out.According to the research contents and methods,we apply the theory of emotional experience design in the design of museum exhibition space.By analyzing the "instinctive level" of emotional experience design,this paper expounds how to apply visual experience,auditory experience,tactile experience and olfactory experience in the exhibition space of the museum.By analyzing the "behavioral level" of emotional experience design,this paper expounds how to apply practical experience and comfortable experience in the exhibition space of the museum.By analyzing the "reflective level" of emotional experience design,this paper expounds how to make the visitors get emotional satisfaction and emotional identity in the exhibition space of the museum.Exploring the application of the three-level theory of emotional experience design in the design of museum exhibition space can better enable museum visitors to obtain emotional needs.It establishes the subject and object in the emotional experience system and analyzes the relationship among "person-emotion-space".According to the characteristics and principles of the three relationships in the exhibition space design of the museum,this paper summarizes the concrete composing methods of the instinctive level,behavioral level and reflective level in the emotional experience design in the exhibition space.Finally,through the concrete design practice to demonstrate the relevant theoretical research.The whole article will focus on putting forward problems,analyzing problems and solving problems,and specifically analyze the combination of people and museum exhibition space in the emotional experience system in three steps.This also provides different options for the design of the exhibition space in the museum later.
