Since the theory of language attrition was put forward in the 1980 s,many scholars at home and abroad have discussed and analyzed the phenomenon of language attrition from various perspectives in the field of second language teaching,and the experimental results and hypothesis theory from the interdisciplinary analysis have been further verified.However,in terms of the current situation of language attrition research in China,the research on Chinese language attrition started relatively late,and the relevant research is relatively scattered and lack of empirical research.However,to pay attention to and study the attrition phenomenon of Chinese as the target language can not only enable second language learners to maintain a certain level of communication and language after reducing or stopping learning and using Chinese Ability,as well as the strengthening of the core part of language teaching and the corresponding anti-corrosion training,has a certain guiding role.Therefore,the study of Chinese language attrition has a long way to go.In this paper,two groups of Chinese learners in the target language environment(China)and in the target language environment(Thailand)were selected as the experimental subjects.Under different circumstances,the two groups of subjects were tested with the vocabulary scale from internal language factors(word frequency,word length,part of speech,classification of corroded words,regression hypothesis verification)and external non-verbal factors(age,gender,learning time and return to China)Time and social emotional factors were investigated.Through data statistics and empirical analysis,the significant differences between different factors and the level of vocabulary attrition rate are obtained.The results show that: word frequency and word length are significant factors that affect the level of Chinese word attrition rate;the influence of part of speech factors is not significant,which needs to be further verified.The attrition rate of Chinese vocabulary accords with Jacobson’s regression hypothesis.In addition,age,the length of Chinese learning in the target language countries,the situation of trilingual learning,the situation of occupation,learning motivation and Chinesecontact mode have different significant effects on the level of Chinese vocabulary attrition rate.Based on the real test results and questionnaire survey results of the subjects,this paper makes an empirical study and draws the above conclusions,which is scientific and operable.Through the research and analysis of the attrition characteristics of some Chinese real words,it can provide effective help for the consolidation and improvement of the teaching results of TCFL,help Chinese learners to transform their short-term interest motivation into language skills that they can keep for life after acquiring Chinese,establish a correct second language learning concept that they can keep the level of Chinese for a long time,and apply it to their daily life in the future Life practice.
