This article aims to study Wang Shuo and the third generation of Beijing-style novels.The research is mainly divided into three levels: determining the connotation of "Beijing-flavor" and sorting out the evolution of "Beijing-flavor" novels;the "Beijing-flavor" elements in Wang Shuo’s novels and their cultural causes;The inheritance and development of the third generation of Jingwei novels to the previous two generations of Jingwei novels.Specifically divided into the following three parts:The first part,through comparative analysis of previous studies,defines this article’s understanding of the connotation of Jingwei novels,and on this basis briefly describes the evolution of Jingwei novels,leads to the third generation of Jingwei novels and its representative writer Wang Shuo,and further analyzes Wang Shuo’s The value and significance of creation for the third generation of Beijing-style novels.The second part analyzes the elements of Beijing flavor contained in Wang Shuo’s novels and the cultural causes behind them.First of all,the elements of Beijing flavor of the third generation of Beijing flavor writers such as Wang Shuo include three parts: the image of a stubborn hero,ridiculous Beijing flavor language and subversive noble creation style.Among them,the stubborn group portraits can be divided into three categories: marginalists,hedonists,and explorers;second,the ridiculous Beijing-style language presents the characteristics of dispelling authority,imitating humor,colloquialism,etc.,both with the traditional Beijing-style flavor represented by Lao She.The novel has a certain heritage,and has distinctive characteristics of the times;third,in the literary creation style,Wang Shuo pursues truth and nature,subverts the lofty,and dispels the Tao.The cultural causes of Beijing flavor in Wang Shuo’s novels include the fragile and blind sense of superiority and the sense of loss caused by social changes.In terms of cultural mentality,the prosperity and decline of the courtyard culture gave birth to the noble mentality of the die-hards.On the one hand,they have a blind sense of superiority,and on the other hand,they have a deep inferiority complex in the face of reality.The third part analyzes the inheritance and development of the third generation of Jingwei novels to the previous two generations of Jingwei tradition.First,it analyzes the inheritance of the third generation of Beijing-flavoured novels to Beijing-flavored tradition from three aspects: attention to small characters,folk oral writing,and individual self-esteem.Secondly,the development of the third generation of Jingwei for the first two generations of Jingwei novels is mainly manifested in the following three aspects: First,in terms of language style,the third generation of Jingwei novels develops the humor of traditional Jingwei novels in language style and develops them It is a Beijing-style ridicule style;second,in terms of character,the third-generation Beijing-style novel develops the image of the old Beijing "kanye" in the traditional Beijing-style novel into a series of stubborn group portraits;third,the third-generation Beijing-style novel uses film and television The media,and the introduction of market-oriented business consciousness in the creation,promoted the recovery and development of Jingwei novels in the new era.
