"Wang Shuo phenomenon" is the inevitable outcome in the current cultural context. Wang Shuo's novels are the variable of social transformation. There are many criticisms and disputes toward "Wang Shuo phenomenon" and Wang Shuo's novels. This essay analyses the characteristics of Wang Shuo's novels from two angles of literary style and language, then illustrates the significance and limitation of Wang Shuo's novels.Ironic narration is the typical feature of Wang Shuo's novels. Wang Shuo dissolves any social factors that are not prone to him. "Wan zhu world" is the holder of the special social culture phenomenon. Wang Shuo fulfills the double-deconstruction functions of hisworks by using ridicule and play--overturn the traditional morality and values, deniesthe social common orders and the main current consciousness, and criticizes and exposes grimly the badness of the intellectual.Ridicule is Wang Shuo's special feature language type. Wang Shuo makes a reform on literary language, creates a "Wang Shuo pattern" on the basis of ridicule language. The types of the ridicule languages can be divided into four kinds, while the forms of the ridicule languages can be divided into three kinds. By using kinds of ways, Wang Shuo makes his works represent fresh, strange and unusual meaning, and have achieved the final effects, thus win the language superiority to ridicule and mock everything.Through the comprehensive analysis toward the Wang Shuo's cultural context, literary style and language features, we can conclude that Wang Shuo's novels have its reliability, rationality, but some limitations. We must point out its destructiveness, constructive feature, and the demonstrable disadvantage of duplication.
