A Study Of A Good Relationship Between Ming Dynasty And Siam

The relationship between China and Thailand has a long history.The exchanges between both sides started in the earliest of Han Dynasty.By the Ming Dynasty,there were several changes.There were economic and trade relations in the Han Dynasty.By the Ming Dynasty,they developed into tributary trade relations,which had a lot of influence on all aspects of the two countries.In the Ming Dynasty,both China and Thailand had policies aimed at foreign countries and the policy of sea banning from Siam was mainly one of harmony and friendship as well,Siam carried out the policy of tribute to the Ming Dynasty.The foreign policies made both countries have close and frequent exchanges,while increasing the number of overseas Chinese in Siam.The author is a Thai,through explore the Thai literature,from the perspective of the Thai people to study and analyze the friendly relations between the Ming Dynasty and Siam,Siam foreign policy,Siam overseas Chinese and other aspects.Then the author found out the friendly exchanges between the Ming Dynasty and Siam.On the one hand,Siam sent 138 envoys to China to pay tribute in order to obtain the benefits of national economy and trade,so willing to follow the imperial edict of the Ming Dynasty and pay tribute to China for the exchanges between countries.In order to show its powerful power,the Ming Dynasty made tribute rules for Siam,but in fact,Siam did not follow them,and the Ming Dynasty did not really suppress Siam.Because both countries want to seek their own main interests,Siam has gained a lot of economic interests.At the same time,the Ming Dynasty can also show the power of the state.Therefore,there is no conflict between the interests of both sides,and good relations still exist.The good relations between the Ming Dynasty and Siam are long-term,close and special.At the same time,both of them had a far-reaching impact on each other,which made the author increase his knowledge of the history of the relationship between the Ming Dynasty and Siam,and understand the foreign policies of both countries.The author hopes that this research will provide some help to the readers who are interested in the Ming Dynasty’s foreign relations and Chinese-Thai relations.
