Children’s emotional regulation affects their future growth.The emotional regulation ability of school-age children is still developing.Without attention and intervention,it is easy to cause a series of adverse consequences that affect learning,daily life and physical health.Providing social work services for children’s emotional regulation can help them cultivate a positive and optimistic attitude,further understand their emotional state,and can appropriately adjust their emotions that adversely affect their interpersonal relationships and daily life.Based on the research of social ecosystem theory and social learning theory,the author found through questionnaires and interviews that children in H community have more negative emotions,which can not regulate the negative emotions.It is necessary to learn the methods and strategies of emotion regulation.The author recruited a total of 10 children in the H community as a service target,formulated an activity plan for the emotion regulation group and provided services using professional methods.The reasons for the improvement of the emotional adjustment ability of the client include personal reasons,family reasons and school reasons.For the practice of group work,the author has designed 12 group activities to help group members learn emotional regulation by recognizing emotions,regulating angry emotions,learning positive thinking and reasonable attribution,and enhancing self-confidence.According to the evaluation of the effect of group work activities,it can be found that group work has obvious effects on improving children’s ability to adjust emotions.After the group activities,the group members have a deeper understanding of emotions and learned more reasonable methods of emotion regulation to improve mood The positive emotion scores of the group members in the positive and negative emotion scale increased significantly,while the negative emotion scores of the group members decreased significantly,and the clients expressed satisfaction with the content of the group activities.Through research,the author found that focusing on positive emotions can help the development of group members’ emotion regulation ability.Reasonable andinteresting activity forms can improve the effectiveness of group activities.Group work has advantages in intervening children’s emotion regulation.The author believes that in the future research,it is necessary to create a good atmosphere,understand the family situation of the team members in depth,use the social work integration model to provide services,and help children grow up better.
