| This translation project management report is based on the translation project,The Annual Report of Defense Contract Management Agency from 2017 to 2019.It is published by Shanghai Yeegos Information Consulting Co.,Ltd in the first “Yeegos Cup”Translation Project Management Contest,and the author is authorized to complete this project with her project team.As a project manager,the author applies the memoQ server,a translation project management system,and also analyzes five major phases of project management: initiating,planning,executing,monitoring and controlling,and closing.From four aspects of the project management — schedule,cost,quality,and resource management,the author demonstrates the feasibility of using the memoQ translation management system to realize a new translation model — “machine translation + post-editing”(MT+PE)and specifies the solutions for the student project team to apply CAT tools for project collaborative translation,solving the difficult problem of text consistency and improving translation efficiency and quality.This project management report is divided into three parts and consists of seven chapters.The first part,or the first chapter,briefly introduces the project background as well as the characteristics of this translation project,the project management,and the memoQ translation management tool.The second part,consisting of five chapters,two to six,respectively explains the five phases of the project in detail.The last part,or the conclusion,presents the opinions and evaluations given by two judges and summarizes the project manager’s gains and losses from this translation project. |
