A Study Of Interrogative Sentences In Ha Dialect Of Li Language

Interrogative sentence is an indispensable sentence type in the language communication of Li people and one of the important components of the grammar of the Li language.Studying the interrogative sentences in the Li language can not only help the students of the Li ethnic group to better grasp the grammar related to the interrogative sentences of the Li language,promote language teaching and communication,but also further enrich the content of grammar research in the Li language.This thesis takes the interrogative sentences of Ha dialect of Li language as the research object,and uses field investigation and literature review methods to obtain the first-hand corpus of interrogative sentences of Baoxian sub-dialect and the data of interrogative sentences of Luohuo sub-dialect.On this basis,through the induction and arrangement of the materials,this article,guided by the Three Plane Theory,uses descriptive analysis to statically describe the four structure types and characteristics of interrogative sentences in the Ha dialect of Li language,and at the same time,its semantic connotation and pragmatic factors are analyzed and explained.In order to describe and explain it adequately,this paper tries to make a multi-angle analysis from syntax,semantics and pragmatics.It is found that the interrogative sentences in Ha dialect of the Li language can be divided into four categories: yes-or-no interrogative sentences,specific interrogative sentences,selective interrogative sentences,and positive and negative interrogative sentences.The four categories have different characteristics.The yes-or-no question is usually marked by adding interrogative mood words at the end of the declarative sentence.The specific interrogative sentences are marked by interrogative pronouns.The choice items of selective interrogative sentences are generally connected by the conjunction ?h?11/ ?ha11（or）,so the conjunction ?h?11 or ?ha11 can be regarded as the mark of the selective interrogative question in Ha dialect of the Li language.The positive and negative question is to use the predicate as a whole or a part of the predicate to form the juxtaposition pattern of affirmation and negation to ask questions,without using conjunctions between the choices,and this interrogative question are mostly single sentence forms.The semantic content of interrogative sentences in Ha dialect of the Li language is rich and comprehensive,covering people,things,events,actions,identity,place,time,location,ownership,quantity,willingness,way,ability,character and many other common contents of daily communication.According to the level of doubt,interrogative sentences in Ha dialect of the Li language can be divided into three types: doubtful questions,semi-trusted questions and unquestionable questions.Through the linguistic form of interrogative sentences in Ha dialect of the Li language,the speaker can convey pragmatic intentions that include inquiry,guess,surprise,expectation and joy,greeting,concern and worry,reproach and reprimand,dissatisfaction and sarcasm,invitation or soliciting opinions.The question focus of the interrogative sentence in Ha dialect of the Li language is closely related to the structure type.In addition,there are also non-interrogative usages of interrogative pronouns,interrogative mood words,and interrogative sentences in Ha dialect of the Li language.
