Ya’an dialect has formed a unique area in Sichuan dialect due to its characteristics of "returning to Yinping",which has a special phonetic phenomenon. This paper takes the phonetic system of Ya’an dialect as the main research object.Firstly, the phonetic system of Ya’an dialect is described systematically from the synchronic level.Secondly, the synchronic and diachronic analysis is made on the reading materials of Wen Bai in Ya’an dialect. The phonetic system of Qieyun is taken as the reference and compared with the surrounding dialects. The phonetic level and historical evolution of Ya’an dialect are analyzed by the historical analytic hierarchy process The research reveals its inherent level of voice evolution mechanism. This thesis is mainly composed of six parts, the introduction part introduces the research thinking, the source of corpus, and the investigation. The second part introduces Ya’an’s geography, history, culture and language. The third part is the phonetic system of Ya’an dialect. The author describes the phonetic system of Ya’an dialect from six aspects: initial, vowel, tone, collocation of tone, special phonetic change phenomenon and different literary and colloquial readings. The third part is the analysis of literary and colloquial readings of Ya’an dialect.Compared with the surrounding dialects, the less contact makes the evolution of Ya’an dialect slower, forming the stagnancy of antiquity, and the colloquial reading of the initials still retains the characteristics of more ancient sounds, such as the heavy lip sounds in the consonant, the colloquial reading of the “duan 端” group in the “zhang 章”,and the colloquial reading of “xiao 晓”and“xia 匣”group in the “jianj 见”.The fourth part is the analysis of the tliterary and colloquial readings of the vowels of Ya’an dialect, which includes“Guo 果”“Jia 假”“Liu 流”“Shan 山”“Dang 宕”“Zhi 止”.It is believed that the literary and white levels of vowels in Ya’an dialect mainly reflect the mutual competition and substitution between "Nanlu dialect",the remains of ancient Sichuan dialect before Song and Yuan Dynasties, and "Huguang dialect" brought byimmigrants in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The fifth part mainly discusses the characteristics, evolution and tone lending of Ya’an dialect.
