Analysing The Metaphase Change Of Bada Shanren’s Calligraphy Process From The Angle Of Psychology

The calligraphy process of Bada Shanren(hereinafter referred to as " Bada ")can be divided into three periods: early,middle and late stages.From the early accumulation to the maturity of the late,the middle period experienced a transition from the past to the future--which was also a period of psychological contradictions for Bada.In the middle period,Bada’s calligraphy not only showed a sudden change in style,but also a strong sense of innovation.From the perspective of psychology,the release and transformation of the shadow and the integration of prototype in the process of Bada’s individuation are very important factors.Bada’s calligraphy went through two stages in the middle period: one was the "donkey period"(1680～ 1684)--the release and transformation of inner shadow and the response to the calligraphy style of the times;Second was the germination of "Bada style"(1685-1690)--the integration of prototypes and the transcendence of the calligraphy style of the times.The propelling of Bada’s individuation process has a very important influence on the evolution of his style of calligraphy.Meanwhile,the Chinese calligraphy that carries the essence of Chinese traditional culture is the indispensable assistance and spiritual companion in Bada’s individuation process.The farther Bada goes on the individuation path,the higher and higher the realm of his calligraphy becomes.This article analyzes the metaphase change of Bada’s calligraphy style from the angle of psychology.Under the overall structure of Bada’s individuation process and development process of calligraphy,this paper tries to analyze it from the personality psychology,psychology of literature and art,calligraphy,and aesthetics,etc.It also involves social psychology,philosophy,philology,etc.Based on the research methods of humanities and social sciences,this paper tries to use the holistic analysis and structural analysis of personality psychology to carry out the research.The author attempts to explore a more in-depth interdisciplinary study on the mid-stage changes of Bada’s calligraphy on the basis of the traditional calligraphy theory and the western psychological theory.This paper tries to expand the scope and depth of calligraphy research and expand the influence of calligraphy from the global perspective of the coexistence of Chinese and western cultures.At the same time,it also seeks a new direction for the study of Bada’s calligraphy,and provides some thoughts for the professional and inner growth of contemporary calligraphers.
