A Study On The Characteristics Of Emotion Priming Effect In People With Alexithymia

Physical exercise is a kind of stress factor in the human body.It influences people’s mood and behavior by regulating endocrine,regular exercise over a long period of time can have a positive effect on mood by activating central nervous system.At present,the research on the affective priming effect of Alexithymia mainly focuses on foreign countries,but the research on the cognitive mechanism and emotional mechanism of Alexithymia is not deep enough.The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of physical exercise on emotional priming in alexithymia patients.This experiment adopts the experimental design of repeated measurement by 2x2x2.The in-group variables were the properties of the target images(positive and negative)and the emotional priming state(on and off priming),the inter-group variables were the exercise alexithymia group and the non-exercise alexithymia group,and the dependent variables were the response accuracy rate and the average response.At the same time,the response accuracy and mean response time of the two groups(exercise alexithymia group and non-exercise alexithymia group)were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance.Results: first,there was no significant difference in response accuracy between the exercise alexithymia group and the non-exercise alexithymia group under supersthreshold emotional primes,but the average response time of the group of exercise alexithymia was significantly lower than that group of the non-exercise.The results showed that there was no difference between the exercise alexithymia group and the non-exercise group in emotion recognition,but the exercise group was superior to the non-exercise group in emotion classification speed.Second,the results of repeated measurements showed that for the response accuracy rate of the two groups,there was no significant main effect in the emotional priming state,significant main effect in the nature of the target picture,and no significant interaction between them.For the average response ofresponse of the two groups,the emotional priming state and the emotional priming state and the target picture properties,and the interaction between them was significant.Furthermore,for the nature of the target image,the response accuracy rate of the exercise alexithymia group to the negative image was significantly higher than that to the positive image(p<0.05).Although the response accuracy rate of the non-exercisealexithymia group to the negative image was higher than that to the positive image,there was no significant difference.On average reaction time,the response time of the two groups to the negative target image was significantly lower than that to the positive target image,indicating that the emotional primes of the alexithymia patients had an obvious negative bias,and the negative image perception of the alexithymia patients was more sensitive.Finally,the positive and negative target images,exercise alexithymia group and the reaction time of alexithymia group were no significant differences,but for positive target images,exercise the average reaction time of alexithymia group significantly lower than the exercise group(p < 0.05),the negative target images,exercise the average reaction time of alexithymia group although lower than the exercise group,but there was no significant difference(p > 0.05).The results showed that although there was no difference between the exercise alexithymia group and the non-exercise alexithymia group in the perceptual sensitivity and perceptual preference of negative emotions,the exercise alexithymia group was more outstanding than the non-exercise alexithymia group in the perceptual sensitivity and perceptual preference of positive emotions.The conclusion of this study shows that there is no difference in emotion recognition between the exercise alexithymia group and the non-exercise group,but the exercise group is superior to the non-exercise group in emotion classification speed.
