The Artistic Form Of Dialect In Comedy Films

The use of dialect in the Chinese comedic films can be traced back to many years ago.Ever since the birth of Chinese sound films,dialects have been used in the creation of film and television works.In recent years,with the rise of local cultures in China,the films translated into dialects and television works with local characteristics are gradually popular with the audience,among which there are also some excellent comedic films.This paper studies and sorts out the relevant research and literature on the dialect comedies,makes an in-depth exploration on "dialect in Chinese comedy films" on the basis of many aspects of film and dialect researched by the previous scholars and analyzes the dialect comedy films including A Cool Fish,Keep Cool and Proud of You.It points out that dialect with both natural and artificial language has two basic functions in comedy films: promotion of region and creation of comedy,analyzes and summarizes the different forms of dialect in comedy films to create comedy effect and gives the methods for distinguishing them.Meanwhile,the author uses his creation of his micro comedy film work Hitman Dream to explain the role of dialects in the construction of comedy game style,the satisfaction of comedy’s demand for harmony and the elimination of comedy sense of stage,and points out that dialect has the characteristics of integration of "vulgarity and elegance" in the comedy film.Finally,this paper discusses the attempt and exploration the use of dialects in the film Hitman Dream,and makes some reflections on the "dialect abuse" and puts forward improvement suggestions such as dispelling authority and parodying classics with dialect.The author tries to use the methodology summarized from the excellent comedy film cases and previous research experience to practice through the study.The creation process of the short film Hitman Dream makes the author have a further thinking and cognition on the creation method of making comedy with dialect elements.
