Hindi realistic novel has a history of more than 100 years.In the process of constant changes and development of literary genres,it has always maintained strong vitality,great cohesion and appeal.That is because the writers inherit the excellent tradition and break through the technique of expression in creation.Shrilal Shukla is an illustrious realistic writer in modern Hindi literary,whose masterpiece,Raag Darbari,is one of the most famous Hindi realistic novels.And this novel has got a huge success since it was officially published in 1968.In 1969,Shukla won the Sahitya Akademi Award for this novel.This paper selects Raag Darbari as the research object and analyzes its inheritance and breakthrough of the tradition of Hindi realist novels.This paper main contents three parts: the introduction,the main part and the conclusion.The introduction elucidate the significance of this paper,the review of researches in this field,and the methods of research.Chapter one is an overview of Hindi realistic novel,in which the author systematically introduces the definition and the development of Hindi realistic novel.Chapter two introduces the life experiences and creative process of Shukla and the main content of Raag Darbari.Chapter three analyzes the inheritance of the tradition of Hindi realistic novel from two aspects: truthfulness of life and typicalness of characters.Chapter four analyzes the breakthrough of the traditional presentation techniques of Hindi realistic novel from Raag Darbari,which is mainly reflected in the absorption and application of western modernist artistic techniques.The conclusion summarizes the previous analyses and discussion,and emphasizes that Hindi realistic novel has great vitality. |
