Grammar is the framework of language and the center of language learning.Grammar ability is the knowledge system of mastering language form and the premise of language teaching practice ability.In English teaching,there are quite a number of grammar items in junior high school,so we can see the importance of junior middle school English grammar.With the emergence of new teaching methods,such as communicative teaching method,researchers found that teachers’ grammar attitudes and teaching methods affect the use of learners’ strategies,and the level differences between learners’ strategies may affect learners’ grammar learning.Therefore,in order to understand the current situation of English grammar teaching in junior middle school,it is very important to investigate the influence of teachers’ attitudes and teaching methods on learners’ use of grammar learning strategies under the current new English grammar teaching method in junior middle school and the current situation of learners’ use of learning strategies between different proficiency learners,and then put forward feasible suggestions for the current situation of grammar teaching.In order to understand the current situation of English grammar teaching in junior middle school,this paper takes 89 students and 30 English teachers in a key middle school in Nanchang as the research participants,and closely addresses the following three questions: 1.Which grammar teaching methods are used by junior middle school English teachers and what are their attitudes towards grammar teaching?2.According to the teaching methods adopted by teachers,what grammar learning strategies do junior middle school English learners mainly adopt? 3.Are there any differences in grammar learning strategies between different proficiency learners under the same teaching method? In order to explore the above three questions,the author collected 30 teachers and 89 students’ questionnaires,and interviewed 5teachers and 15 students randomly.Finally,the author uses SPSS25.0 software to analyze the collected data.The findings are as follows: 1.At present,inductive method is mainly used by junior middle school English teachers.Teachers have a supportive attitude towards grammar teaching.Grammar is one of the important elements of language.Mastering grammar knowledge is the premise of learning language.Learning grammar knowledge well can make better use of language.2.The teachers’ positive attitudes toward grammar and the inductive teaching method make the learners mainly adopt affective and cognitive strategies in grammar learning strategies.3.Although the learning strategies commonly used by learners are affective strategies and cognitive strategies,there are significant differences in the use of learning strategies between the high and low level groups.Based on the above research results,the author puts forward some suggestions combined with the current situation of junior high school students’ grammar learning.In English grammar teaching,we should attach importance to arousing the students’ interest and enthusiasm,and require English teachers to create corresponding teaching situations and adopt reasonable and effective teaching strategies.For example,in the context of grammar teaching,so that students through the language atmosphere to better understand grammar knowledge.Or in the topic of grammar teaching,grammar teaching and reading,listening,writing and other aspects of the training,grammar penetration,so that students in the acquisition of language learning.
