Wolfgang Iser is a representative figure of contemporary receptive aesthetics.He pays attention to reading phenomenon and tries to analyze the connotation structure and implementation mode of reading from the relationship between the author,text and the reader.His theoretical research always focuses on the core issue of "reading activity".From this,it goes deep into all levels and links of reading activity,which not only enables us to know reading activity itself and the basic problems faced in the process of reading have a detailed understanding,which also enables us to have a deeper understanding of the value and significance of literary reading.His theory has opened up a research path for future generations that has not been touched by before,further promoting the development of the theory of accepting aesthetics towards the direction of building a new paradigm in depth and triggering new thinking in the real society.In this paper,Iser’s aesthetic reading theory is taken as the main object of study.The first part is the introduction.This paper mainly introduces the background and academic context of Iser’s aesthetic reading theory,and summarizes the research status in this field,which lays the foundation for the main point of this paper.The second part is the constitution of Iser’s reading theory.As the two poles of reading activities,there is an interactive relationship between the text and the readers.As a potential and open "calling structure",this paper expects the readers to elaborate and interpret it.The readers fully rely on their own initiative and actively participate in the reading activities to realize the "reprocessing" of the text.The third part is the process of Iser’s reading theory.This paper discusses the ways and principles by which readers and text rely to promote this dynamic communication process in the specific aesthetic reading activities,and finally turns it into literary aesthetic significance.The fourth part is the axiology of Iser’s reading theory.Focusing on the value embodiment of reading activities,this paper rethinks Iser’s aesthetic reading theory from two aspects: the mechanism of telephone and the realization of the text and self meaning.We find that reading brings us not only a simple literary experience,but also a dialogue mode embodied in itself,which brings important enlightenment to real life.At the same time,it also gives the text with artistic value,that helps us to try to transcend the real self and extend the possibility of self plasticity.The fifth part is the conclusion.This paper sums up the characteristics and significanceof Iser’s aesthetic reading theory,points out that this theory makes a detailed analysis and discussion of our literary reading activities,inquires into a series of related problems such as how literary aesthetic significance is generated in reading,and improves the ideological construction of reception aesthetics from a new perspective.At the same time,Iser’s thinking beyond the problem of reading itself has also taken care of the real society,which strongly proves the profound significance reflected by the aesthetic activity of literature reading,which has the same irreplaceable value and function for the development of human society.
