Three Topics On The Study Of The Political Situation Of Zhengyuan In Dezong Of Tang Dynasty

The period of Emperor Dezong’s zhenyuan period was a crucial period for the transformation of many political systems and systems in the history of middle and late Tang Dynasty.After the Jianzhong turmoil,the central government was not as inactive on the issue of political affairs as the people had accused of.On the contrary,Dezong made great efforts to revitalize the central authority,strengthen the imperial power,and re-establish the control of the local area.This article focuses on the political pattern of the Emperor Dezong of the Tang Dynasty.The historical trajectory of the central government strengthening of centralization and the specific characteristics of political development during the Zhenyuan were mainly explored from three aspects:the relationship between the central and the local,the group of meritorious officials,and the succession of emperors.These help to further understand the political history of the middle and late Tang Dynasty.After the year of Jianzhong,Dezong realized that the current strength of the Tang Dynasty alone could not completely solve the problem of vassal state separatism,therefore,the vassal policy is more rational and pragmatic,focusing on military calm to political control.Under the mutual exploration and political games between the central and local governments for many times,Dezong reconstructed regional space and power structure,effective political control has been achieved in Hebei,Guanzhong,Central Plains and Jianghuai re-establishing nationwide areas.In the meanwhile,Dezong under the political purpose of strengthening the security and stability of the real imperial power,the proper resettlement of the three types of heroic groups that had been awarded on a large scale during the turmoil in China became an important political issue for Tang government.Among them,most of the heroic groups of Fengtiandingnan were transferred outside the capital,the group of heroic from Yuan Cong Fengtiandingnan was determined to be included in the Shence army system,and use eunuchs with the group of heroic Yuancong as the main body to lead.This led to a closer political and military group between eunuchs and the military.In succession to the throne,Dezong and Shunzong,although they became the national crown princes as the eldest son,however,there was some turbulence in their political status during Prince Edward.This reflects the inherent contradiction between the real imperial power and the right to inherit the throne in the national political system.The reigning king mainly guaranteed the smooth operation of the real imperial power,undoubtedly suppress the development of the prince’s political power,and the Prince’s political status changed from danger to security,exactly reflects the reign of the reigning monarch through effective control of the political situation,to show the supreme authority of real imperial power.In a word,Dezong’s series of efforts to consolidate the regime and stabilize his rule during the Zhenyuan period,laid a solid foundation for Yuanhe reviving,it also profoundly influenced the political trend of the entire middle and late Tang Dynasty.
