The Analysis Of Music And Performance Of The Piano Cycle Carnival

Schumann was a composer and musical critic of romantic music.For the first half of his life,he wrote only for piano music and created the genre of piano cycle.Carnival is an early piano cycle composed by Schumann.He gave each work in the cycle a title with literature and profound meaning,while the musical performance can perfectly interpret the title.This paper is divided into three parts: the first part expounds Schumann’s life,the formation of piano cycle and his creative features of piano cycles;the following part is the music analysis which starts from the creation background,the summary of the whole cycle and the music itself;the final part is the analysis the performance which classifies and analyzes the technical points,and then put forward suggestions to specific works.It provides an effective reference for music professionals and music amateurs in the future performance and teaching process.
