Latin dance,as a highly integrated project of art and sports,is loved by the public,and many training institutions have sprung up,but at the same time of rapid development,many problems also follow.There is a huge gap between training institutions in terms of skill level,among which teaching is a key issue that can not be ignored.As an international metropolis in the Pearl River Delta,Guangzhou has always been in the forefront of the country in terms of children’s Latin dance level.The advantages of its skill level are closely related to its teaching.Aiming at the problems of Latin dance teaching in Guangzhou,the SWOT analysis method is used to analyze the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of its teaching as a whole,so as to provide more comprehensive analysis of its teaching problems for institutions Development provides teaching reference.In this paper,Latin dance teaching in dance institutions in Guangzhou is taken as the research object,and scientific research methods such as literature,expert interview,investigation and research,logical analysis,mathematical statistics and so on are used.Guangzhou is taken as the scope of this investigation.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Latin dance teaching in Guangzhou has more internal advantages than disadvantages,more external opportunities than threats,showing a good teaching environment,belonging to the S-O strategic type(pioneering war zone);(2)The internal advantages mainly include high quality and level of teachers,standardized teaching content,diversified teaching methods,sufficient class hours,superior geographical location and good communication with parents,among which the biggest advantage is to maintain good communication with parents,to meet the needs of parents in teaching services and feedback,to be recognized by parents,and to facilitate the continuity of teaching;(3)The internal disadvantages mainly include the mobility of teachers,the lack of teaching management,class management disorder,teaching materials are not unified,investors lack of professional knowledge and other aspects,the most important of which is class management disorder,many institutions lack of scientific and effective division system,class age differentiation,seriously affecting the quality of teaching;(4)The external opportunities are mainly that the state attaches great importance to quality education,the increase of residents’ income,the opening of second child,the increase of children,parents’ work,lack of time for care,numerous performances,and the construction of competition platforms,among which the most opportunities are parents’ work and unaccompanied care,which provides favorable preconditions for Latin dance teaching and a large number of teaching objects for Latin dance teaching;(5)The external threats are mainly the lack of supervision in the industry,the price war of non professional organizations,the lack of parents’ understanding of the major,the fear of children’s hardship,the emergence of a large number of training,and the big competition.The main cause is the lack of effective supervision in the industry,which leads to the lack of supervision in many non professional teaching,affects the quality of Latin dance teaching,and is not conducive to the development of Latin dance projects.
