Abstract/Summary:
The emergence of words is an important symbol of humanity entering the civilized era.pottery inscription is an important form of writing in China.It first appeared on pottery in prehistoric times,mostly symbolic.Throughout history,the Qin and Han dynasties and the Warring States period was the golden time of the development of China’s pottery inscription.And the northern part of Henan Province,as an important position in the hinterland of the Central Plains of China,is rich in sites of the Qin and Han dynasties and the Warring States period.This thesis collects and organizes the pottery inscription unearthed from the Qin and Han dynasties and the Warring States Period in the northern Henan region,and finds that it is concentrated in some certain pottery categories.Therefore,based on the archaeological typology method,the pottery genre is re-integrated and staging,and it is concluded that pottery inscription of the Qin and Han dynasties and the Warring States unearthed in the northern Henan region mostly appeared in the middle of the Warring States period to the early Eastern Han Dynasty.On the basis of this era,the way of distinguishing glyph features of pottery inscription of different periods provides new evidence for the periodization of the tombs,which is a feasible auxiliary means.The specific research on pottery inscription of Qin and Han dynasties and the Warring States mainly focuses on the historical issues related to its content and the study of its font art style.In terms of historical and cultural development,through reading the meaning of the words,it is learned that the content of pottery inscription in the northern part of Henan involves politics,economy,culture and all aspects of people’s daily life.In terms of pottery fonts,the Qin and Han pottery inscription and the Oracles,font of Jin Dynasty and Xiaozhuan of the Qin Dynasty have the characteristics of inheriting development,and their glyphs are gradually maturing and stereotyped,and gradually developing into Lishu with characters of "horizontal and vertical".The evolution of the glyphs of pottery inscription happen to be a physical evidence for studying the characters’ changing into Lishu.In addition,the pottery inscription of the Warring States is similar in style to the Sanjin pottery inscription,belonging to the Jin writing system,which is different from the Qi system and pottery inscription of the Qin system and has a rather distinct regional feature.This regional feature began to weaken after it entering the Han Dynasty,and basically disappeared in the Eastern Han Dynasty,and the text was unified.In short,the study of the Qin and Han dynasties and the Warring States in the northern Henan region is of great significance in enriching the archaeological stage of the northern Henan region,the study of historical issues and the characteristics of regional texts.
