A Study On Metaphor Structural Element Of MoYan’works

MoYan,the writer who has vast literary works in the contemporary literary world,his works are loved by his readers all the time,many researchers have studied his works,and they concentrated on literary worth or literary criticism.MoYan is the first Chinese winner of the Nobel Prize for literature writer,so it attracts more attentions from researchers,the researches about the author and his works are also expanded,There have been some research achievements of linguistics and rhetoric,But it is still shot of systematic study.Metaphor is one of the features in MoYan’s works,based on the metaphor,this thesis Chooses metaphor corpus from five works of MoYan’s,collecting and organizing the metaphor corpus,for the detailed classification and data statistics,in order to systematically summing up the types and characteristics of the ontology,vehicle,and similarity in MoYan’s works.The thesis has five parts:Part one,it introduces the fountain of this program,research status,research methods,research objectives and significance and the source of corpus.The second part is the research of metaphor ontology in MoYan’s works,it bases on ontology about man and things,and the ontology about man is divided into person name of ontology and the name of ontology,the ontology about things can be divided into natural ontology,social ontology and body organs of ontology,discussing by these types,and summarizing the characteristics of metaphor ontology—simplicity,nonobjective and wispy.The third part is the research of metaphor vehicle in MoYan’s works,it also bases on vehicle about man and things,and the vehicle about things can be divided into natural of vehicle(plants,animals and so on),social of vehicle(specific social things and abstract social things)and body organs of vehicle,discussing by these types,and summarizing the characteristics of metaphor vehicle--Specific,common and earthy.The fourth part is the research of similarity in MoYan’s works,it analyzes from nine points,such as similarity in form or appearance,similarity in expression,similarity in sound,similarity in behaviour,similarity in function,similarity in character,similarity in event,similarity in feel and similarity in varied types,then,Summarizing the characteristics of similarity of metaphor—abundant,novel and complex.The last part is conclusion,it Summarizes the main research achievements and shortcomings about the thesis.
