| Objective: To understand the current status of frailty, resilience and quality of life in elderly maintenance hemodialysis(MHD)patients, analyze the correlation between frailty, resilience and quality of life in elderly MHD patients, and explore the mediation of resilience between frailty and quality of life in elderly effect, reduce the degree of frailty and improve the quality of life in elderly MHD patients. Methods: A cross-sectional study was used to select a total of 150 elderly MHD patients from the Department of Nephrology of a tertiary hospital in Chengdu,Sichuan Province from June 2021 to October 2021.The research content included general information questionnaires,Frailty scale(TFI),Resilience Scale(CD-RISC-10)and Quality of Life Scale(SF-12).SPSS 26.0 and Process v4.0 plug-ins were used to conduct descriptive statistics,t test, analysis of variance, hierarchical regression and mediation effect test on the data.Results:1.The frailty score of elderly MHD patients was(6.29±2.63),the incidence of frailty was 73.3%,the resilience score was(22.15±6.76),and the total score of quality of life was(53.45±18.54);2.There were statistically significant differences in age, marital status, and education level among elderly MHD patients(P < 0.05);there were statistically significant differences in resilience in terms of age, marital status, education level, and economic status(P<0.05);There were significant differences in quality in terms of age, education level and economic status(P<0.05).3.Correlation analysis showed that frailty in elderly MHD patients was negatively correlated with resilience and quality of life(r < 0,P < 0.01);resilience was positively correlated with quality of life(r > 0,P < 0.01);4.The hierarchical regression results showed that frailty and resilience levels could independently explain 14.9% and 18.0% of the variance in quality of life in elderly MHD patients, respectively, and frailty could independently explain 5.7% of the variation coefficient of resilience in elderly MHD patients.5.The results of the mediating effect test showed that resilience played a partial mediating role in the relationship between frailty and quality of life in elderly MHD patients, and the mediating effect accounted for 27.0 % of the total effect.Conclusions:1.Elderly MHD patients have a higher prevalence of frailty,a lower level of psychological resilience, and a lower level of quality of life.2.The frailty of elderly MHD patients is affected by age, marital status and education level;the psychological resilience is affected by age, marital status, education level and economic status;the quality of life is affected by age, education level and economic status.3.The frailty of elderly MHD patients is negatively correlated with resilience and quality of life, and resilience and quality of life are significantly positively correlated, that is,the higher the level of resilience, the lower the degree of frailty and the higher the quality of life.4.The degree of frailty in elderly MHD patients can not only directly affect the quality of life, but also indirectly affect the quality of life through psychological resilience. |
