| Objective:Benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)is a major cause of lower urinary tract symptoms in the elderly,which seriously affects their quality of life.Prostate artery embolization(PAE)has been widely used as a minimally invasive therapy for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms caused by BPH[1-3].Understanding the exact anatomy of the arteries of the prostate,including pae-4,is a highly challenging technique in the elderly,considering that the anatomy of the arteries of the prostate is highly variable[4-6]and that pae-4 often occurs in the elderly,This study investigated the value of MR dynamic contrast-enhanced examination as a routine examination of the prostate in imaging the origin,number of prostate arteries and the relationship between adjacent vessels before prostate artery embolization.Method:This study reviewed 90 patients who underwent dynamic contrast-enhanced MR examination of prostate in our hospital from June 2021 to December 2021.The images of prostate artery and other pelvic arteries were reconstructed and evaluated,compared with CTA and CT enhanced images of lower limbs,and compared and evaluated in terms of the number,clarity and vascular continuity of arteries.Result:There are differences in the score,clarity and number of prostate arteries among the three examination methods.In the score of prostate arteries,MR dynamic enhancement is better than pelvic CT enhancement(P=0.002),MR dynamic enhancement is better than lower limb CTA(P=0.001),and pelvic CT enhancement is also better than lower limb CTA(P=0.001).In the clarity of prostate artery,MR dynamic enhancement was better than pelvic CT enhancement(P=0.001),and MR dynamic enhancement was better than lower limb CTA(P<0.001).There was no significant difference between pelvic CT enhancement and lower limb CTA.In terms of the number of prostate arteries,dynamic MR enhancement of prostate was better than that of pelvic CT(P=0.001),dynamic MR enhancement of prostate was better than that of lower limb CTA(P<0.001),and pelvic CT enhancement was better than that of lower limb CTA(P=0.002).Conclusion:Under certain conditions,the vascular information of MR dynamic enhancement examination of prostate has met the needs of preoperative evaluation of PAE. |
