Aim:To evaluate clinical efficacy and safety of microneedle-roller combined with collagen dressing for the treatment of facial photoaging.Methods:This study included 19 subjects who met the criteria for facial photoaging,with symmetrical facial photoaging on both sides.A split-face pairing design was adopted,and the left and right faces were grouped according to the random principle.The control group was treated with collagen dressing alone,and the treatment group was treated with microneedleroller combined with collagen dressing.A total of 3 treatments were given,each 2 weeks apart.Before the first treatment and 4 weeks after the last treatment,the VISIA skin detector was used to detect the spots,wrinkles,pores,texture and red areas of the facial skin on both sides;4 weeks after the last treatment,according to the results of VISIA,the researcher and the subjects evaluated the global aesthetic improvement scale of facial skin texture,pores,and wrinkles according to the degree of improvement.An improvement of 25% or more is effective for the treatment;Pain was scored by VAS,and adverse reactions during and after the operation were recorded.Results:1.The result of VISIA testing index:(1)Baseline comparison: There was no statistical difference in the difference between the scores of both sides by VISIA(P>0.05).(2)Pores and texture scores of VISIA: The pores and texture scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment,the improvement of pores and texture before and after treatment were statistically different(P<0.05);the comparison of pores and texture differences between the two groups after treatment was statistically different(P<0.05),and all improvements of the treatment group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).(3)Red areas,spots and wrinkle scores of VISIA: The red areas’ scores of the two groups after treatment were slightly higher than those before treatment,and the scores of spots and wrinkles were slightly lower than those before treatment,but there was no statistical change in the scores before and after treatment.There was also no significant differenc in the scores of red areas,spots and wrinkles between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).2.The results of the GAIS assessment scale:(1)After the treatment,the subjects had higher scores on the improvement of facial skin quality,pores,and spots in the GAIS scale;(2)The evaluation of skin color improvement differed between researcher and subjects,but there was no difference in the evaluation of pores and spots.3.Safety and satisfaction evaluation:(1)The VAS pain score was 2.17±0.70 points,ranging from 1 to 4 points,indicating that the pain was within an acceptable range.(2)All subjects reported that there was no obvious discomfort after the microneedle-roller treatment,with slight redness and swelling that subsided in about two days.(3)The subjects were highly satisfacted with the facial improvement of photoaging on both sides,but they differed in their satisfaction with both sides.Conclusions:1.The microneedle-roller combined with collagen dressing has a positive effect on improving facial photoaging with good safety.2.The use of collagen dressings alone also has a positive effect on the improvement of pores and texture of facial photoaging.3.For the effect of improving pores and texture scores,the combined treatment group is better than the efficacy of the dressing alone group.4.Microneedle-roller combined with collagen dressing and single-use dressing can improve wrinkles to a certain extent,but there is no statistical significance. |
