Objectives: To study the infection status and possible influencing factors of HBV,HCV and syphilis among drug users in Jiangsu Province,so as to provide theoretical basis for the adoption of targeted intervention and control measures. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among male drug addicts in a compulsory isolation detoxification center in Jiangsu Province from June to August2018.The infection rates of HBV,HCV and syphilis were investigated by serological test, and the basic information, drug abuse and sexual behavior were investigated using a questionnaire. Results:A total of 788 male drug users were included in this study. The educational background of the population was mainly junior high school(50.9%),with an average age of(38.11 ± 8.41)years,47% of them were under 25 years of age when they first used drugs and the proportion of condom use was low.A total of 22 cases were found to be positive for serum HBs Ag,and the infection rate of hepatitis B was2.8%.Sexual partner’s disease was a risk factor for hepatitis B infection(OR=19.238,95%CI: 3.849~96.162).A total of 130 cases of syphilis seroantibodies were detected, and the syphilis infection rate was 16.5%.Temporary sexual partners and longer drug use years were risk factors for syphilis(OR=2.002,95%CI: 1.262~3.183;OR=1.659,95%CI: 1.109~2.482).A total of 157 cases of hepatitis C HCV antibody were found to be positive. The infection rate of hepatitis C was 19.9%.Longer years of drug use and temporary sexual partners were risk factors for syphilis infection in this population(OR=4.660,95%CI: 2.114-10.272;OR=69.979,95%CI: 29.617~164.344).Conclusions: This compulsory detoxification center has a high proportion of people who take new drugs and high-risk sexual behaviors are common. It is necessary to actively explore and carry out effective intervention measures for people who use new drugs. In particular, the popularization of sexual health knowledge and the promotion of condoms should be strengthened. The hepatitis B and C infections of intravenous drug users still cannot be ignored. The control of needles should be strengthened, and the awareness of prevention and cleanliness of drug users should be improved. |
