Investigation And Optimization Of Health Information Service In Public Libraries Of Hubei Province

With the continuous improvement of people’s living conditions and material level,people’s demand for health information has become urgent.People’s demand for health information is increasing with people’s attention to their own health problems.The "healthy China" strategy put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the 19 th CPC National Congress in 2017,as one of the important strategic plans of the country in recent years,is for the Party and the country to raise national health awareness and strengthen the physical quality of the people,advocate the healthy life style,train the national health professional quality cognition and make the important action.As the carrier of traditional paper-based information media and digital information resources,the public library is an important part of the social and cultural service system and the construction of national spiritual civilization,with rich and diverse information resources and high-quality health information service conditions,it should respond to the call of the national "healthy China" and conform to the development of the health theme of the Times,it has the ability and obligation to take the responsibility of popularizing health information to the public and develop health information service for the public.At present,domestic public libraries have carried out many practices and attempts in the field of Health Service.This paper mainly studies the development of health information service in Hubei Province.Firstly,it introduces the research background and significance,the research status and review at home and abroad,and the related summary of Health Information Service.Secondly,the author investigates the Health Information Needs of the readers,health information needs can be divided into four types: seeking and acquiring health problems,learning basic knowledge of daily health,selecting and screening health information,and receiving health literacy education,the statistical results of health information needs of different readers were obtained,and the characteristics of health information needs of readers were discussed and analyzed.In addition,the author also conducted research on the Health Information Service of public libraries in Hubei Province,and selected 20 public libraries in Hubei Province as survey samples,by means of on-the-spot visit,network statistics,questionnaire survey and case analysis,this paper makes a detailed investigation on the health information service provided by public libraries in Hubei Province,the construction of health information resources,health information service personnel,interaction and consultation among readers,cooperation and application.According to the investigation,the author finds out the primary achievement and deficiency of Hubei Public Library in Health Information Service.And finally,this paper puts forward the optimized countermeasures of the development of Health Information Service from the aspects of strengthening the planning and construction of health information resources,optimizing health information service,strengthening the construction of librarians,strengthening the on-line and off-line propaganda and promotion,and actively developing the cooperation of organizations.
