| Objective:To investigate vascular density change in optic disc and macular of cataract patients after phacoemulsification. Methods:This study is a prospective cohort study.A total of 46 patients(50eyes)with cataract, who underwent phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation in the Department of Ophthalmology of Hunan Provincial People’s Hospital from October 2019 to December2020,has been selected. We have collected data that includes the vascular optic disc and macular(central vascular density, superior vascular density, inferior superior vascular density, nasal vascular density, temporal vascular density)density, intraocular pressure of cataract patients, ranging from before surgery,1 day after surgery,1 week after surgery, and 1month after surgery. We have also performed statistical analysis based on these data.Results:1.The intraocular pressure at 1 month after phacoemulsification was significantly lower than preoperative intraocular pressure.(statistically significant,P<0.05).However,there was no statistically significant difference between before phacoemulsification and 1 day(or 1week)after phacoemulsification(P>0.05).2.Compared to preoperative data, the vascular density in the temporal optic disc area increased at 1 day,1 week, and 1 month after phacoemulsification, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in 1 day,1 week, and 1 month after phacoemulsification(P>0.05).3.Compared to preoperative data, there were no statistically significant differences for vascular density in the central, superior, inferior and nasal of the optic disc at 1 day,1 week, and 1 month after phacoemulsification(P>0.05).4.Compared to preoperative data, there were no statistically significant differences for vascular density in the central, superior, inferior, nasal and temporal of the macular area at 1 day,1 week, and 1month after phacoemulsification(P>0.05).Conclusions:The intraocular pressure of 1 month after phacoemulsification was lower than that before the operation.Within 1 month after phacoem-ulsification,the vascular density in the temporal optic disc area was higher than preoperative vascular density, which may be beneficial to the improvement of ocular blood flow. There was no significant change for the vascular density in the optic disc area(except the temporal optic disc area)and macular area. |
