Clinical Study Of Compound Lidocaine Cream Combined With Pregabalin Capsule In The Treatment Of Postherpetic Pruritus

Background: Pruritus is an experience related to everyone,and diseaserelated pruritus is too numerous to be ignored.Both postherpetic neuralgia and pruritus are common clinical symptoms.To some extent,pruritus after herpes zoster has no less impact on personal quality of life than pain.Maybe they share similar mechanisms of inflammation and nerve injury,but there is still a lack of research on the pathogenesis of pruritus after herpes zoster at home and abroad.In clinical treatment,the efficacy of compound lidocaine cream or pregabalin capsule alone is not ideal,or it can only relieve symptoms of some patients with pruritus after herpes zoster.In the absence of a specific target drug in recent years,we investigated whether the combination of drugs has certain advantages in the treatment of patients with pruritus after herpes zoster.Objective: To analyze the effect of compound lidocaine cream combined with pregabalin capsule in the treatment of postherpetic pruritus,and to provide reference for practical clinical application.Methods: 72 patients with postherpetic pruritus in the outpatient department of our hospital from June 2020 to June 2021 were selected as the research objects.They were divided into study group and control group randomly,and the number of patients in both study group and control group was guaranteed to be 36.The control group was treated with compound lidocaine cream and the study group requiring start of compound lidocaine cream combined with oral pregabalin capsule treatment for four weeks respectively,and to compare the efficacy of different treatment methods.we would like to judge the recovery of postherpetic pruritus from three aspects of obvious effect,effective and ineffective.The patients’ information would be collected and gathered according to the pruritus degree visual analog scale score and quality of life scale score,the effect of treatment was determined by the pruritus relief degree and quality of life score of patients with postherpetic pruritus.Results: The effective rate was 97.22% in the study group and 80.56% in the control group,the effective rate was higher than that in the control group(P < 0.05).The pruritus score after treatment was(3.82±0.43)in the control group and(1.32±0.71)in the study group,and the recovery effect was more significant in the study group(P < 0.001).The quality of life score of patients with combined treatment was better than that of the control group(P < 0.001),and the VAG score and modified DUO’s itch score of patients in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P < 0.001).Conclusion: Combined application of pregabalin capsule on the basis of compound lidocaine cream has a significant effect on the treatment of postherpetic pruritus,which can improve the condition of pruritus,promote the recovery of patients and effectively improve the quality of life of patients.The clinical application is worthy of promotion.
