[Background] The removal of pigmented nevus by CO2 laser was a common treatment in dermatology, which was widely used in clinical practice. In this treatment, the common anesthetic ways included local infiltration anesthesia and compound lidocaine cream anesthesia. With the development of the bio-psycho-social medical concepts, psychological hint had gradually become one of the ways to relieve patients' pain during their operation. However, few researchers had applied psychological hint as a way to get rid of the pain from laser treatment. At present, the current domestic and foreign researchers mainly used pain scales to evaluate the degree of pain relief of patients when they were applied compound lidocaine cream before and after laser treatments.Few researchers evaluate the painful and emotional changes of the patients who received psychological hint before laser treatment. In this study, the subjects diagnosed as pigmented nevus were selected.Shortform McGill Pain Questionnaire-2(SF-MPQ-2),VAS(Visual Analogue Scale),FPSR(The Faces Pain Scale-Revised)and VRS(Verbal Rate Pain Scale-Revised)were used. The above scale was used to evaluate the analgesic effect and the emotional changes of patients receiving compound lidocaine cream during laser treatment. When patients received psychological hints, the emotional and painful changes in patient was also evaluated during their laser treatment. All above could provide somereferences for clinical humanized laser therapy.[Objectives] 1.VAS scale,VRS scale,FPS-R scale and SF-MPQ-2 scale were used to evaluate the effects of the compound lidocaine cream on painful and emotional changes in patients with laser treatment in pigmented nevus.2.VAS scale,VRS scale,FPS-R scale and SF-MPQ-2 scale were used to evaluate the painful and emotional effect of patients when they received psychological hint during laser treatment in pigmented nevus, and to explore the feasibility of psychological hint in analgesia of laser treatment.3.This research was also developed to discuss the emotional changes of patients caused by laser therapy in pigmented nevus.[Methods] 1.Grouping: 120 patients with pigmented nevus who received super-pulse CO2 laser treatment were randomly divided into three groups, each group contained 40 patients. The three groups were separately named compound lidocaine group, psychological hint group and control group.2.The compound lidocaine cream anesthesia was applied in the compound lidocaine group before treatment. Before therapist started laser treatment in pigmented nevus, the compound lidocaine cream was applied on the skin lesion for anesthesia and then removed 30 minutes later.Subsequently, the researchers started laser treatment. After the treatment was finished, patients were asked to fill in the comprehensive assessment scale(including SF-MPQ-2,VAS,VRS and FPS-R scale). Before therapist started laser treatment, the psychological hint group received the psychological hint,as described next. Before therapist started laser treatment in pigmented nevus, the patients were firstly coated with Vaseline Cream on their lesion, and then the researchers removed Vaseline 30 minutes later.Subsequently, the researchers started laser treatment. After the treatment was finished, patients were asked to fill in the comprehensive evaluation scale. The control group took "no measures" before laser treatment,as described next. Before therapist started laser treatment in pigmented nevus,no measures were taken for3.patients,and the laser treatment was carried out directly by the researchers. After the treatment was finished, patients were asked to fill in the comprehensive assessment scale.4.Subsequently,the comprehensive assessment scale was used to analyze the painful and emotional changes among the above three groups.[Results] 1.In the compound lidocaine group, the scores of continuous pain, intermittent pain and neuropathic pain in the SF-MPQ-2 scale were significantly lower than those in the psychological hint group and the control group when the researchers used the comprehensive assessment scale(including SF-MPQ-2,VAS,VRS and FPS-R scale),and were in statistical difference(P < 0.05).2.There were no significant difference in the scores of continuous pain, intermittent pain and neuropathic pain in the SF-MPQ-2 scale between the psychological hint group and the control group(P > 0.05).3.There was no significant difference in the score of “affective descriptors” in the SF-MPQ-2 scale between the compound lidocaine group and the psychological hint group,no significant difference in the score of " affective descriptors " between the compound lidocaine group and the control group, and no significant difference in the score of “affective descriptors” between the psychological hint group and the control group(P > 0.05).[Conclusions] 1.Compound lidocaine cream can alleviate pain in patients from the laser treatment in pigmented nevus.2.Compound lidocaine cream cannot affect the emotional changes of patients during the laser treatment in pigmented nevus.3.Psychological hint cannot effectively alleviate the pain of patients in the process of laser treatment in pigmented nevus and cannot affect the emotional changes of patients in the process.
