| Objective To investigate the usability of the TCM brain health cloud platform in the elderly with mild cognitive impairment in the community, describe the experience of the elderly with mild cognitive impairment when using the TCM brain health cloud platform, collect deeper evaluation and problem feedback, and put forward corresponding strategies to promote the optimization and intervention effect of the platform. Methods An explanatory mixed methods study, with a quantitative study followed by a qualitative study, was used to interpret the quantitative results by mobilizing the qualitative findings. In the quantitative study, convenience sampling method was used to investigate the evaluation of the availability of the TCM brain health cloud platform for 39 elderly community MCI patients.Descriptive statistical analysis and Two independent samples T test were performed using spss25.0 software.Qualitative studies twelve elderly people with MCI from the community were interviewed using a purposive sampling method, and patients were interviewed in a face-to-face semi-structured in-depth interview using a descriptive phenomenological approach using the nvivo12.0 was used for data collation, and data analysis was performed by Colaizzi seven step analysis. Results 1.A total of 155 questionnaires were distributed and 148 questionnaires were returned, with an effective recovery rate of 95.48%.Combining the inclusion exclusion criteria of the studies and the screening scale diagnosed 39 elderly with MCI,109 elderly with normal cognition, and none with dementia or suspected dementia. The web and electronic products were used by 76.92% of the elderly with MCI in the community,of which only 40% consulted electronic health-related information. The full scale of usability was scored as 100.The usability score of 39 community-dwelling elderly people with MCI on the TCM brain health cloud platform was(53.01±19.57)points.2.There was a statistical difference between the elderly with MCI and the elderly with normal cognition in evaluating the usability score of the TCM brain health cloud platform(P<0.01).3.Analysis of interview materials formed 3 themes, several subthemes:(1)Positive experience: perceived ease of use and perceived usability;(2)Negative experience: there is room for optimization on the platform and users are maladjusted;(3)Coping strategies: enhance platform design and functions and pay attention to users’ needs. Conclusion The usability score of community MCI elderly people for TCM brain health cloud platform is below the accepted standards, and the platform has room for further optimization.and there is room for further optimization of the platform.Specific concerns were identified in the qualitative studies, such as small impact reading by font of the platform, possession of device mismatches, lack of experience of partial functional impact. At present, the subject team is aiming to further refine the platform in response to existing problems and suggestions, and there is also a need for uninterrupted collection of existing problems, continuous iterative updates, and creating an accessible platform during the follow-up use of the elderly with MCI in the community. |
