ObjectiveTo understand the occurrence of depression and anxiety symptoms in patients with pregnancy complications,and to explore the effects of mindfulness,stress mindset and family care on depression and anxiety symptoms in patients with pregnancy complications based on a positive psychology perspective,so as to provide a basis for clinical formulation of appropriate psychological interventions.MethodsA total of 397 patients with pregnancy complications in the obstetrics ward of a tertiary care hospital in Jinan were selected,and the general information questionnaire,Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale(EPDS),State-Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI),Mindful Attention Awareness Scale(MAAS),Stress Mindset Measure-General(SMM)and Family Adaptation,Partnership,Growth,Affection,Resolve(APGAR)were used to collect sociodemographic data and scores on pregnancy-related characteristics,depression,anxiety,mindfulness,stress mindset,and family care for patients with pregnancy complications.Independent-Samples T Test and one-way ANOVA were used to compare the depression and anxiety scores of patients with pregnancy complications across sociodemographic characteristics as well as pregnancy-related characteristics between groups,and stratified linear regression was used to analyse the factors influencing depression and anxiety symptoms in patients with pregnancy complications.Results1.The score of depression symptoms in patients with pregnancy complications was(9.69±4.93),and the positive rate of depression symptoms was 58.9%;The score of anxiety symptoms was(42.55± 10.63),and the positive rate of anxiety symptoms was 55.9%.2.Factors influencing depression symptoms(1)The results of Independent-Samples T Test and one-way ANOVA showed that there was no significant difference in depression scores among different nationalities,education,occupation,personal monthly income and residence(all P>0.05).Among pregnancy related characteristics,there was significant difference in depression scores among different times of pregnancy protection(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in other pregnancy related characteristics(P>0.05).(2)Stratified linear regression(to prevent the omission of meaningful variables,select the variables with difference comparison results P<0.2 in comparative analysis into the model)the results showed that living in the town(P=0.046),different times of fetal protection(P=0.004),mindfulness(P<0.001),stress mindset(P<0.001)and family care(P<0.001)were the influencing factors of depression symptoms in patients with pregnancy complications.3.Factors influencing anxiety symptoms(1)The results of Independent-Samples T Test and one-way ANOVA showed that there was no significant difference in anxiety scores among different nationalities,education,occupation,personal monthly income and residence(all P>0.05).Among pregnancy related characteristics,there was significant difference in anxiety scores among different times of pregnancy protection(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in other pregnancy related characteristics(P>0.05).(2)Stratified linear regression(to prevent the omission of meaningful variables and select the variables with difference comparison results P<0.2 in comparative analysis into the model)showed that mindfulness(P<0.001),stress mindset(P<0.001)and family care(P<0.001)were the influencing factors of anxiety symptoms in patients with pregnancy complications.Conclusions1.The positive rates of depression and anxiety symptoms were high in patients with pregnancy complications,58.9%and 55.9%respectively.Attention should be paid to the psychological problems of patients with pregnancy complications.2.Different types of residence and different numbers of birth control are influential factors for depression symptoms in patients with pregnancy complications.3.It is worth focusing on:mindfulness,stress mindset and family care as protective factors for depression and anxiety symptoms in patients with pregnancy complications,suggesting that we should focus on developing appropriate psychological interventions targeting positive psychological factors when developing targeted interventions.
