Objective: Preoperative serum TSH levels were measured in patients with thyr-oid nodules before the first operation to study the correlation between serum TSH levels and differentiated thyroid cancer.Methods: from February 2013 to February 2020,200 patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma(DTC)and 200 patients with benign thyroid nodule underwent thyroid nodule surgery in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi-njiang Medical University The tumor staging was calculated by the modified Amer-ican Joint Commission(AJCC)staging system,and the data were statistically analyz-ed by spss21.0 software.Results: 1.The level of serum TSH in the differentiat-ed t-hyroid cancer(DTC)group was 2.84(1.44,3.99)u IU/m L,which was higher than the 1.88(0.91,2.55)u IU/m L in the benign thyroid nodule group,and the diff-erence was statistically significant(z=2.35,P<0.01);2.The serum TSH concentr-ation in the differentiated thyroid cancer group with cervical lymph node metastasis(3.718±1.965)u IU/m L was compared with the serum TSH concentration in the no-nneck lymph node metastasis group(2.528±1.674)u IU/ m L increased,the difference was statistically significant(t=4.207,P<0.01);3.The preoperative serum TSH l evels of patients with differentiated thyroid cancer in tumor stages I,II,III,and I V w-ere(2.540±1.672)u IU/m L,(2.807±1.480)u IU/m L,(4.355±1.572)u IU/m L,(4.465±3.013)u IU/m L,the difference is statistically significant(F=8.737,P<0.01),single facto-r result Analysis shows that serum TSH levels are correlated with differentia-ted th-yroid cancer.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis results show that TSH levels OR 1.487(1.291,1.712),P<0.01).Conclusion: preoperative seru-m TSH lev el is related to the incidence of differentiated thyroid cancer.With the i-ncrease of serum TSH level,the incidence of differentiated thyroid cancer increase-s.High-er TSH level is also related to advanced differentiated thyroid cancer.This indicato-r can be used as a predictive indicator of differentiated thyroid cancer scr-eening,but can serum TSH level be used as a predictive indicator of differentiate-d thyroid cancer screening Further study is needed on the measurement indexes.
